My 2005 cobalt has water leaking at the heater

I have not had one person that is happy with the cobalt. Everyone I have known that has one has traded it in before all the other problems occured. . You will have to test areas with water and see if it causes a leak. Also the box has a vent hose that could become clogged. This will also cause the AC condensation to overflow. Run the AC for awhile and see if you get drainage.. If not its clogged

I have a 2005 Chevy Cobalt Coupe. The battery saver just started coming on and the car won't start. Is it my alternator or my battery?

Question edited for clarity. Question moved to model category. It could be either, but you don't guess which. You test the battery for voltage and load test (amps). Then you test the alternator for output voltage. Put jump leads on the vehicle and drive to an Interstate Battery Outlet. Or call a local mobile auto electrician. https://www.google.com/search?q=mobile+auto+electrician+near+me ..

How do you turn off the traction control 2006

There's no switch to turn it off, it's tied into the antilock brake system. You could remove the ABS fuse which will disable BOTH systems, You should think about the implacations before doing that.

The P0974 code is generic powertrain code related to the transmission, including pressure faults and sensor failures. In this case, the engine control module (ECM) has detected a fault with a high voltage reading from the shift solenoid A control circuit.

P0017 and p0014 cobalt 2009

So, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the codes are as follows. P0017-Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation Bank 1 Sensor 'B' Possible causes - Mechanical timing fault - Blocked oil passage - Low oil level - Faulty Exhaust ('B') Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor - Faulty Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor P0014-Camshaft Position 'B' Timing Over-Advanced or System PerformancePossible causes - Dirty Oil - Low engine oil level - Faulty Exhaust Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid - Exhaust Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid harness is open or shorted - Exhaust Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid circuit poor electrical connection - Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) Bank 1 So in short, you can try the oil change if its been a while, always a good practice, however the fact that its throwing both of these codes together, makes me heavily suspect that your car is experiencing the worst of the possible causes, all your symptoms are tell-tale signs of your cars timing being off, meaning a timing belt job is needed. I highly recommend trying your best not to drive that vehicle, if the timing belt grenades on you while your driving, it will cause catastrophic damage to your motor. I cannot stress to you enough to limit your driving. Timing belt jobs as a general rule of thumb, are anywhere from $700-$1000 depending on the shop, anything more and they are ripping you off. I hope this helps, Good Luck!

The pistons on the rear calipers must be "screwed in" because of the parking brake, and sometimes the parking brake lever must be removed to allow the parking brake adjuster to spin.
