2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 radio will not turn up when volume bar / numbers show it getting louder. My phone via Bluetooth you can not hear at all.

Try removing the wiring harness plug to it for 20 seconds and then replace the plug. It is probably something to do the Body Control Module and disconnecting it should reset the radio communicating to it.

How do yo replace a freeze plug on a 1999 chevy?

I usually drive the old one into the block with a long, blunt punch, turn it sideways and pry it out. I coat the edge of the new one with Permatex sealer and drive it in with a driver that's just a little bit smaller than the cup of the new plug. A socket on the end of an extension works in a pinch.

2000 Chevy Silverado. The trailer wiring-left and right blinkers and running lights have power but not the brake lights.

You can buy small adapters that you plug into the car harness connector and allows you to test that the power is being supplied correctly. In your case, I would suspect that the trailer wiring is at fault, rather than the truck's wiring.. https://www.google.com/search?q=trailer+7+way+plug+tester .

2014 chevy silverado immobilized

Hi, if you performed these tasks and still cannot start the car, please double check that you're using all products from the manufacturer of the car (or affiliated). This type of thing happens with printers...where the main device won't work if it senses any 3rd party or unauthorized components. You can try to call your local dealership to see if your car is built like this. Thank you.

2008 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3. What's the amount of time for brake fluid to clear intake manifold?

The braking system and the engine oil lubricant, and coolant system are not connected apart from the vacuum hose. With the engine warm (not hot), gently hose it down and leave it to dry. The smoke is more likely external. If any did get inside the intake manifold, it will soon burn off on a good run.

What is making my 2005 Silverado's blower motor stay on high even when the truck is turned off? It keeps running, it drained my battery.

Your BCM (body control module), must have gone bonkers. Have it checked out. Might just need a little tweaking-like re-setting.Good luck.

2000 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3. Misfire on 2 cylinders?

Question edited for clarity. Full year make model in title and mis-spelling of 'misfire'. Question moved to sub category. The misfire code only tell you that, unfortunately it doesn't tell you why. When swapping parts to test theories, only swap one thing, one cylinder to one cylinder and only one item, the coil, the plug or the wires, not all three. What was the make of the Crankshaft Sensor? Only buy quality OEM replacements as there is a history of bad ones from Mexico and China. Wouldn't hurt to check the wires again. This has a neat diagram. https://www.silveradosierra.com/threads/5-3-firing-order-cylinder-diagram.734633/ ..

My 2004 Chevy Silverado's battery drains if not driven everyday. Could this be caused by the ECM?

You have what's called a parasitic drain on the battery. It could be caused by the ECM, but it's doubtful that it is. More likely one of the electronic components in your Silverado. There are many YouTube videos on troubleshooting parasitic drains, or you can have a qualified shop look at it for you.

Can a p1637 and p1638 code cause surging and gradual shut down of the truck

DTC P1637 The powertrain control module (PCM) / engine control module (ECM) uses the charge indicator control circuit, and the generator 2 turn on signal circuit on diesels with dual generators, to control the generator(s). A high side driver within the PCM/ECM allows the PCM/ECM to turn the generator ON and OFF. When generator operation is desired, the PCM/ECM sends a 10-11 volts-volt signal to the voltage regulator via the generator turn on signal circuit. This causes the voltage regulator to begin controlling the generator field circuit. Once the generator is enabled by the PCM/ECM, the voltage regulator controls generator output independently of the PCM/ECM. Under certain operating conditions, the PCM/ECM can turn OFF the generator by turning OFF the voltage on the charge indicator control circuit. The PCM/ECM has fault detection circuitry which monitors the state of the charge indicator control circuit. If the fault detection circuit senses a voltage other than what is expected, the charge indicator will turn ON and this DTC will set. The voltage regulator also contains fault detection circuitry. If the regulator detects a problem, the regulator will ground the charge indicator control circuit, pulling the voltage low. This also causes the charge indicator to turn ON and the PCM/ECM to set the DTC. What engine is in your truck ? DTC P1638 The powertrain control module (PCM) uses the generator field duty cycle signal circuit to monitor the duty cycle of the generator. The generator field duty cycle signal circuit connects to the high side of the field winding in the generator. A pulse width modulated (PWM) high side driver in the voltage regulator turns the field winding ON and OFF. The PCM uses the PWM signal input to determine the generator load on the engine. This allows the PCM to adjust the idle speed to compensate for high electrical loads. The PCM monitors the state of the generator field duty cycle signal circuit. When the key is in the RUN position and the engine is OFF, the PCM should detect a duty cycle near 0 percent. However, when the engine is running, the duty cycle should be between 5-100 percent. The PCM monitors the PWM signal using a key ON test and a RUN test. During the tests, if the PCM detects an out of range PWM signal, DTC P1638 will set. When the DTC sets, the PCM will send a class 2 serial data message to the IPC to illuminate the charge indicator.

Why does my 2005 chevy silverado manual transmission keep blowing the INJ2 fuse?

Check stored ODBII codes for injector circuit high/low faults (P0200). Implies a injector control wire short or failing injector. Further troubleshooting is required, test don't guess. Check injector #2 control wire for signs of abrasion or rodent damage. Use an ohm meter to compare resistance of number 2 injector to other injectors. Search internet for how to... plenty of videos.
