What cause the fuel pump not to run on a 1996 Chevrolet pick-up truck Silverado 5.7L?

Jump the switch side of relay with jumper wire, cavities for terminals 30 and 87 in diagram. As you see in diagram, terminal 87 shows to be fuse protected and hot all the time. switch side is left side of relay in diagram. The pump should run with jumper, don't need the key. You can also see fuel pump/oil pressure switch, redundant power supply to the fuel pump. Even w/o the relay, once you crank it enough to bring up oil pressure, that switch closes and the pump should run, depending. fuel pump relay-undefined-undefined-0.jpg

How to replace the switch on the lights in the steering wheel of a 2006 chevrolet silverado

Before you start replacing parts ,need a little more information . Maybe able to save you some time an money . Does the horn work when you push the horn button , does the air bag light stay lit in the instrument cluster ? The button lights for the bottons on the steering wheel are lit by the BCM - body control module . Interior Lamps Dimming The second group includes lamps which may be dimmed. This group may use a combination of vacuum fluorescent (VF) illumination and incandescent lamps. When the ignition switch is turned to the RUN position, the radio's vacuum fluorescent (VF) displays turn on at maximum brightness. When the park lamps are on, all incandescent back lighting turn on at the dimming level indicated by the I/P dimmer switch. At the same time all vacuum fluorescent (VF) displays dim to match the indicated dimming level. The panel dimmer switch potentiometer is an input to the BCM. When the driver selects a dimming setting by moving the I/P dimming switch potentiometer, all incandescent back lighting lamps are provided with a specific voltage. When the I/P dimmer switch is moved from MIN to MAX, all vacuum fluorescent (VF) displays, as well as all incandescent back lighting respond from minimum intensity to maximum brightness in response to the I/P dimmer switch. The following switches and components have back lighting when the park lamps are on: • The instrument panel cluster (IPC) • Radio, front and rear • Window and heated seat switches • Garage door opener switch • Selectable ride switch • Roof beacon switch • Power take off (PTO) switch • Headlamp leveling switch • Rear wheel steering mode select switch • HVAC control assembly • Headlamp and panel dimmer switch • Transfer case shift control switch • PSIR disable switch • PRNDL lamps • Traction control switch • Steering wheel control switches • Fog lamp switches Could be the clock spring inside the steering coulmn ,under the steering wheel if horn doesn't work ,air bag light lit etc...

2009. Why are turn signals hyper flashing?

Not sure what plow or plough lights have to do with the turn signals - you surely haven't wired these high powered spotlamps to the direction indicators or even teed from any of the vehicle wiring? It isn't necessary but traditionally the speed of flash was governed by how much current the bulbs were drawing and suddenly flashing faster if a bulb went out was an accidental but useful benefit and so when electronic flashers came along the facility was deliberately built in. People who have fitted led bulbs that have no shunt resistors have complained about hyper flashing, because the current draw is negligible and when connection to the lamps is lost altogether due to a faulty hazard switch the dashboard direction indicator tell-tale can go crazy but fitting a couple of spotlamps causing that is a completely new thing... I am wondering if you followed the rules of wiring accessories to a digital vehicle? The rule is, wherever possible do not connect anything except manufacturer's upgrade kits to the vehicle wiring and when fitting electrical accessories always wire from scratch starting at the battery to keep the circuit completely separate and if a connection must be made to the vehicle electrics it should represent a load no greater than a relay coil.

2007 4.8l Vortec. Why doesn't high idle relearn throttle idle?

You have too many zeros in your description - 25,000 revs and you would be picking up engine bits from half a mile away... 600 rpm in park and presumably revving up to 2500 when a gear is selected isn't the fault of an idle air valve (or the throttle positioning motor) but is the result of commands sent by the management system. Restoring factory defaults should restart the self learning process and disconnecting the battery for a few hours (overnight) might restore the defaults but it might need dealer level diagnostic equipment.

09 Silverado wipers come on for a short period then stop and only jerk a little when I hit a bump,

This was a common problem with 1988 to 1998 Chevy Silverado models. In 1999 the Silverado body style changed on the 1500 series but remained the same on the 2500 and 3500 series. The plastic cover on the wiper motor had major problems and most were under factory recall. Visit https://www.nhtsa.gov/recallsfirst to see if your truck is under recall. You will need your VIN number. It is on your title, on the drivers side at the bottom of the windshield ,or on the drivers door on a tag on the area where the latch is. If it is not being recalled you will need to check the vehicle when the wipers are not working. Raise the hood and look for the wiper motor. It will be on the firewall. Tap on the black plastic motor cover a few times with the handle of a screwdriver. If the wipers begin working after a few taps the cover is most likely faulty. The best part is that if that is the culprit it is fairly easy to change. Make sure you check for a recall first , we have literally replaced hundreds of these under full warranty. Hope this helps.

Chevrolet silverado 2004 airbag sensors reset

The airbag in your vehicle is an important safety device, and the airbag module ensures the proper functioning of your vehicle's air bag. If this module is not functioning properly, your airbag may not deploy during a crash. When there is a malfunction, your airbag module warning light will illuminate on your vehicle's dash. You will need to have the airbag assembly checked out by a qualified mechanic, but once that is done, you can reset the warning light and airbag module unit. If you've never done this type of job before, it should only take you 5 minutes.
    • 1 Open the hood and loosen the retaining nut on the negative cable wire cable clamp using a socket wrench.
    • 2 Slide the cable clamp off the negative battery terminal.
    • 3 Wait 3 to 5 seconds and reconnect the battery terminal. Tighten the retaining nut using a socket wrench. Once the power is restored, the airbag module should be reset.
    • 4 Verify that the module has been reset by turning the ignition key to the "II" position and checking to make sure that the airbag light does not illuminate.
