Did you get the trouble codes read. I doubt the codes have anything to do with a wire connected to the hood

A while back someone probably put the wheels on incorrectly causing uneven rotor wear (commonly called warped rotors). You likely need new rotors, or might be able to have them machined down or "turned"...

you can buy ready made wire loom connector for most radio/vehicle have a look online only a few $ makes a neater and more secure connection

if the gear is inside the box. Then means drastic action to get it out . If it is a conventional set up You may be lucky and be able to remove the extension housing from the rear of the box and it should be in there . You will have to drain the oil and remove the rear cross member to allow this to happen . If it is an east west set up front wheel drive you may have to pull the box.

Could be dozens of things. Start out by getting the codes read and see if they get you pointed in the right direction.

Sorry to give you the bad news but if you have transmission fluid in your water, you have a bad radiator. I dont care what kind of car you have..

if this occurs only when letting the clutch out or maybe under a hard acelleration, then yes i would say it is a clutch issue

intake air temp sensor

I believe its on the engine block just below the head, above the transmisssion.

this can only be done by a authorised garage who will then do the paperwork for you at the local vehicle inspection station so the tow bar is then aded to the vehicles paperwork or if you drive a vehicle without this paperwork its a bit fine and points on licence

Sounds like a add on remote start you have installed in this Plymouth
The factory never had that option offered then in 1997
We would need to know the manufacturer of the remote start unit to determine what wires to disconnect

Replace the fuel pump. Order the pump and screen. Let me know if you need r and r instructons.

Check the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator. They are part of the same assembly and are located on top of the fuel pump. To replace the regulator # Disconnect fuel supply line at the Filter/Regulator nipple and releas locking spring tab (2 in diag.) on the regulator, then turn counterclockwise and pull out. To test regulator use a gauge like this in fuel lines:Pump Pressure Tester.
Pressure in 2003 should be 58psi (48 in 2001 engines). Pressure will drop of about ten psi when you start engine.

There is also an automatic shut down relay ASR. If problem is the ASR the pressure will go down when the relay cuts off power to pump. Read voltages and see if the problem is electrical first before going for the regulator.

The gas in "the accident car" is probably mixed with a bunch of water if you put it in the river. That may not be a good idea since you have a "new car". I would sure hate for you to mess that new one up just because you put bad gas in it.

4 cylinder cars need back pressure (cat converter, muffler, and resonator) to get your full power to your car. Do you have any of these things on this car? If not, the best thing to do would be to put at least your CAT or resonator back on. Or, you should check out your O2 sensors. They may be getting too much flow. Hope this helps, James Booth.
