I would get the pump and sender unit installed properly. Sounds like the float is stuck due to an incorrect installation.

Alternator draining battery ? Does the battery hold charge fine if discted ? Could be battery... My astra runs the lighter thing even if turned off ... Or alternator draining battery

Is it a whine or a rattle? Never mind, both mean U will have to replace it sooner rather than later... But if it's a rattle a bearing is most likely cause and if its a whine when driving I it means it's not putting out power correctly...U can Replace it yourself easy as with a YouTube tutorial

DTC U2005 SPI Data-Out High DTC U2004 SPI Data-Out Low These are communication error codes in the integrated electronics of the car, it has to do with the modules "talking" over a network , I can find no other information,. Remember this is a GM product so the dealer may be needed here.

HI normaly the only areas i would look at other than possible head gasket,Check oil level is correct, is there is a blockage in the engine breathing side (possibly internal of rocker cover) sludged up. Or possible excessive crankcase pressure of course any one of these could lead onto the other if all the above check out ok then a cylinder leakage test should be carried out.(this is different to a compression test).Good Luck
