I cant find a fuse on a VE holden Commodore 2009
The fuse box on a 2009 Holden Commodore VE is typically located in one of two places:
Under the hood: The fuse box is usually located on the driver's side of the vehicle, near the firewall. It is a rectangular box with a black or gray plastic cover. You may need to lift the hood to access the fuse box.
Inside the vehicle: On some models, the fuse box is located on the driver's side, under the dashboard. It is usually located to the left of the steering wheel, near the driver's door.
To find the specific fuse that you are looking for, you will need to consult the owner's manual for your vehicle. This will provide a diagram of the fuse box, as well as a list of the fuses and their functions. The manual should also provide instructions on how to check and replace a fuse if necessary.
If you are having difficulty finding the fuse box or identifying the correct fuse, it is recommended that you seek the assistance of a professional mechanic. They will have the experience and knowledge to help you locate the fuse and make any necessary repairs.
I have a 2009 Holden barina and the radiator reservoir tank keeps emptying but the radiator is still full.....
well that is its A#1 job to do just that every cool down cycle even on a brand new car.
not told you how long it takes the fluid to drop 1 day ,1 year? or?
but if the engine eat the coolant AF. then the RAD leak down test finds that. (a tool)
most cars we se the Reservoir to 1/2 full.
and goes higher hot engine and back to 1.2full cold
if engine fails (or any leaks of any kind any where)
the level drops, telling any tech or owner there is a very serious problem.
the tool

what a tech does if lots spare time
is open hood get engine fully hot 1/2hr driving . (15psi)
and look for leaks. here is short list (ASE basics all)
new cap is best for $5 and holds 15psi and no longer leaks (cap)
- AF to ground leaks, seen. (AntiFreeze 50%)
- hoses all leaking AF.
- leaks to passengers toes ,heater core leaks.
- leaks from intake manifolds for sure V6 or V8 engines
- core leaks block or heads. (aka freeze plugs)
- the tail pipe has steam all the time running (cloud)
- the head gasket viewed at sides, leaks.AF
- RAD leaks (all of it) even squirts to places not leaking oops.
- water pump leaks.
- engine oil pan shows oil , is milk chocolate. oops super bad.
- A/T TRANS SAME , HAS AF MIXED IN TO ATF FLUID. RAD COOLER BAD .
- THOSE ARE SIGNS. OR USE THE PRESSURE TEST TOOL.
best see the leak,as old signs of leaks can lie you, yes leaks but was a squirted to leak ,not THE leak. source.
watch leaks live hood up, and win.
best is not drive this car too far. (circle the block test to get 180f coolant temp?) and cause full pressure to find leaks for free.
2016 Holden Cruze. Code 89 and beeping sound suddenly come on.
Justin, the engine brain on all modern cars, 1995 up, the PCM
sees engine,GO over heated and the PCm tells the AC brain to shut off AC.Most do that. (fix the engine over heat first is THE answer.
thus saving the engine from faster destruction..
that is how it works. and more, there are many AC shut down modes. (WOT/ overload and evap core freeze up (icing)) are other.
2007 Holden Barina. How to drain fuel tank please.
youtube that.for sure. drain gas tank car, and watch vast do it.
we have no Holdens in USA but all cars have generic answer EFI
i guess petrol tank, right? (fuel not told)
- step 1 depressurize fuel rails, by pulling fuel pump fuse running engine, or by the words in the service manual.
- we drain the tank, at filler cap, off, using a hose , google how to siphon fuel safely, gets out 90%^ or so.
- using eye protection, we remove all lines to the tank if can reach them, (and filler neck pipe/hose if not easy do below steps.
- with jack on tank bottom (and buffer , of wood) lift tank to zero load. the unstrap the than and drop it to get to all lines and hoses. by hand, I mark them all tagged with names or numbers so not get fooled later now all lines are off drop the tank to the ground jack.
- done. be safe the raw fuel,
some auto stores have hand fuel pump to pump the filler neck and down drive. or siphon hose special for the job to avoid drinking fuel.
ask them first for tools to help.
Does 2007 holden viva have plug fuel tank
No ,drain plugs on fuel tanks no longer exist , You will have to remove the filler tube to get a syphon hose into the tank to drain it , you will also have to change the fuel filter and flush out the fuel lines . before fitting the new filter .
Holden cruze 2009 key stuck in the ignition won't go to off position , can't get it out of park .What is the problem ?
Is it shifter on the floor ?
Ignition Lock Cylinder Control Actuator
If the vehicle is equipped with a floor mounted console gear shifter, it has a ignition lock cylinder control actuator system in the steering column. The ignition lock cylinder control actuator's purpose is to prevent the ignition key from being turned to the OFF position when the transmission is in gear and the vehicle may still be moving. The column ignition lock system consists of a ignition lock cylinder control actuator , and a park position switch that is located in the A/T shift lock control switch. The ignition lock cylinder control actuator contains a pin that is spring loaded out to mechanically prevent the ignition key cylinder from being turned to the lock position when vehicle transmission is not in the Park position. If vehicle power is lost, and/or the transmission is not in the Park position the operator will not be able to turn the ignition key to the lock position and will not be able to remove the ignition key from the column.
GM had problems with these ! Has a TSB - technical service bulletin !
Automatic Transmission Shift Lock Control Description and Operation
The automatic transmission shift lock control system is a safety device that prevents an inadvertent shift out of PARK when the engine is running. The driver must press the brake pedal before moving the shift lever out of the PARK position. The system consists of the following components:
• The automatic transmission shift lock solenoid (serviced as the automatic transmission shift lock actuator), as well as the body control module (BCM) and the engine control module (ECM). The shift lock solenoid is located within the floor shift control assembly with vehicles equipped with floor shift.
• The BCM controls the voltage to the shift lock control solenoid through the shift lock control solenoid controlled voltage circuit. The following conditions must be met before the BCM will remove voltage from the shift lock solenoid:
- The ignition is in the ON position.
- The engine control module (ECM) sends an input via GMLAN serial data to the BCM indicating the transmission is in the PARK position.
- The BCM determines the brake pedal is applied according the brake pedal position.
Since the shift lock control solenoid is permanently grounded, the BCM supplies voltage to the automatic transmission shift lock control solenoid, mechanically locking the shift lever in the PARK position as the solenoid energizes. When the brake pedal is applied, the BCM turns the control voltage output of the shift lock control solenoid OFF, de-energizing the shift lock control solenoid. The de-energized solenoid releases the mechanical lock allowing the driver to move the shift lever out of the PARK position. When the transmission is out of the PARK position, the shift lock control solenoid remains de-energized.
During remote start operation, the BCM will energize the shift lock control circuit, locking the shift lever in the PARK position.
Replaced shifter on a cobalt , broken plastic part inside , wouldn't press on micro switch to disengage ! Found replacement shifter at auto slavage yard .$20.00 US
2005 Holden rodeo won't start
SEEMS SPARK PARTS ARE WET
IF YOU SUCK IN WATER TO THE AIR CLEAN ,THE RODS BEND AND ENGINE IS A WRECK, BUY AND INSTALL A SNORKEL.
CURE WET BUY DRYING OUT ALL SPARK PARTS.
COILS, ALL, (AND WHERE THEY GO INTO) DISTRIB IF PRESENT
USE HAIR DRIER TO DRY PARTS.
DO NO MIX UP SPARK WIRES PULLING, THEM
ive no idea what engine is 12,000 miles away in Australia me.
but ive got lots of 4wd and motorcycles wet fording many a stream.
