2003 Holden Commodore VY. Interior light not working!

You are chasing the wrong things. All the items that are giving you trouble are controlled by the Body Control Module, and connected to other modules and sensors via a Communication Bus computer network. You can't fix this yourself and you can't fix it by just replacing the BCM. You need an auto electrician with a pro grade, bi-directional scan tool computer. Scan for DTRs and Comms issues, diagnose and fix. https://www.google.ca/search?q=auto+electrician+near+me ..

Holden Commodore (VR). I've lost my keys but have access to car. Is there a way to bypass the immobilizer and just start it from black box at back of ignition?

Question edited for clarity and Australian English :>D Question moved to a better category. No, the immobilizer system is there to stop exactly what you are trying to do. The car doesn't know that you are the owner. The workings are complex, a transponder chip in the key to a receiver in the steering column which communicated to the anti-theft / security / alarm module which relays information to the ECM which allows power to the ignition system. You have to fix what is wrong, not find a way around it. The dealer will make you a key based on the VIN number, or a good mobile locksmith may be able to help with key cutting and programming.

New Ignition Barrel. Same prob. Key will not turn to off position

It sounds like you need to replace the (electric)ignition switch. When they go bad you will usually hear a crunch sound, they can be so bad as to overheat and cause other issues. There's probably nothing wrong with the OEM key/barrel.

Diagram for changing spark plugs on ve sv6 ute

Step 1 To access all six spark plugs, we need to loosen the intake manifold. This will require removal of attached components.
  • Unclip and remove the black insulating material
  • Disconnect the three PCV tubes. Push the tab across and pull outwards
Step 2 Unclip the purge solenoid from the intake manifold. It slides off towards the firewall. Step 3 Unclip the throttle body loom and disconnect the intake pipe. Also unbolt the support bracket as circled. Step 4 Remove the five long bolts located on top of the intake manifold. The bolt closest to the front is shorter than the rest. Keep this in mind when reinstalling. Step 5 Next, remove the final bolt securing the manifold to the engine. You will need to unscrew this bolt entirely, however you will not be able to remove it from the manifold due to a lack of clearance. (This picture has been borrowed from an LFX engine. The bolt however is identical) Step 6 Raise the intake manifold and place an object underneath it to support it. This will provide enough clearance to access all the spark plugs. Step 7 Unclip all looms from the ignition coils. Simply push the grey tab downwards, then press on the connector and disconnect. Step 8 Unbolt the ignition coils and remove from the engine. Step 9 Using a spark plug socket and breaker bar, gently remove the spark plugs from the engine. Step 10 Install the new spark plugs by applying a light coating of anti-size and gently thread them into position by hand. Be very careful not to cross thread the plugs. Tighten with a torque wrench to 20nm.

How to drain the fuel tank in Holden combo 2003? wrong fuel.

If you have only a small amount of diesel in a large amount of petrol, you may have whiffs of blue smoke but no damage will occur unlike petrol in a diesel tank. Top up your fuel tank with a quality petrol as soon as you are able.

Holden VF Commodore. Will a VE radiator support panel fit a VF Commodore?

Unlikely The VF Commodore was built on an altered version of the Holden designed GM Zeta platform, first used in the VE Commodore. The VF was an evolution of the VE, with several visual changes. The VF featured new styling at the front and rear, with a more modern, sculpted appearance replacing the VE's simpler design.

My Holden Barina XC hatchback has 3 wires connecting to the battery, obviously 1 is positive, 1 is negative, i'm just not sure which terminal the 3rd wire connects too?

It won't start because you need to reset the security system and engine immobilizer. The extra wire is likely to be an aftermarket accessory. Does it go into the wiring harness? What colour is it? https://www.google.com/search?q=holden+barina+xc+hatchback+security+immobilizer+reset ..

1999 Holden Astra automatic not starting?

You need to get a professional mechanic to look at this. You need to find out where this oil came from. There are very few places on the top of an engine where oil can come from. At best it could simply be where it has been spilled when topping up the oil level. At worst it could be something more serious affecting the cylinder head. Do you have any warning lights on the dashboard? Have you tried scanning the vehicle for OBD2 trouble codes? These will give clues as to why it won't start. If you have to pay for this ask at 3 or 4 different places as prices can be VERY different. You may need to replace all the spark plugs and the coil packs. If oil has gotten deep into the coil pack where you can't reach to clean it out it will cause an electrical short and no spark.
