Where does the knock sensor bolt to on 98 amigo 2.2l 4x4
I don't know specifically but mostly the knock sensor isn't bolted anywhere but is screwed into the cylinder block midway along the cool side (opposite to exhaust) just below the head gasket.
The knock sensor is a type of microphone and if it is to detect the early sounds of detonation it must be in very intimate contact with the cylinder block.
Someone posted about a similar problem some time ago. I don't remember the details but there was a knock sensor and connecting wires but no threaded boss for it to screw into. At the time I could only suggest the vehicle had an earlier engine fitted and if it wasn't possible to fabricate a very substantial bracket to firmly attach to the cylinder block into which the sensor could be screwed then the sensor could perhaps be bonded to the block using one of the many epoxy repair pastes to build up a substantial boss around the sensor.
Obviously the sensor cannot function but if it is not connected the engine management will record it as a fault.

1990 isuzu amigo that dies in 1st gear, all sensor lights are on!
this vehicle is seventeen years old ? something is worn out but what and where ? i have no information as to weither its petrol or diesel so i cannot advise but changing a alternator as well as this would never cause your problem as stated without knowing what fuel type your engine is i cannot even think about suggesting a few diagnostics other than to ask at the local garage ,could be anything from a perished vacumn pipe to fuel problem .no idea without more information .sorry
Is there any way to clean oxygen sensors to make
if the wires are not damaged , washing them in vinegar to remove the exhaust build up on the sensor tip sometimes helps
code p 0134 refers to heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) 1 bank 1 --no activity detected ===causes--- wiring open circuit ---heating inoperative ---HO2S
it also refers to oxygen sensor (O2S)--no activity detected ====causes --wiring ---O2S
code p 0135 refers to HO2S 1 bank 1--heater control -circuit malfunction===causes ---fuse ,wiring ---HO2S---ECM
code p 0342 refers to camshaft position (CMP) sensor A , bank 1---low input ===causes ---wiring short to ground -- CMP sensor ---ECM
oxygen sensors have delicate wiring in the harness so they are easily damaged when the correct sensor tool is not used in the installation or removal process or the wires are pulled when disconnection the connection plugs
1999 Isuzu Amigo V6 2wd:
When I have such a problem with my Toyota pickup, I install a button in dash to crank the motor over. Hot wire from the switch on to the button, then from the button to the starter activating wire. My Toy doesn't do this every time, but when it won't crank I just reach down and flip the spring center switch, same as a button, and she cranks and fires up. This is easier than replacing a bunch of stuff that may not be bad or is impossible to get to.
