replace the intermediate unit , it controlls backflow and pressure, this should fix your prob

That engine was used in both models. As long as the model number, year of manufacture and generation of the engine match you should be able to do the swap. An obvious suggestion is to take a very good look at your engine and take photos, then go to look at the replacement engine. Compare the two. If your not sure take someone with you that knows engines.

Your steering is power assisted. The pump is driven via a toothed wheel from the engine. I would suspect something is obviously awry with the pump or there is no/low fluid in the system.

If that doesn't work, you find a local auto electrician. OBD ports were mandated to always be on the drivers side near the steering column, on, or under the dashboard.

Question are you putting in the correct size fuse ? Look in the owners Manuel it will tell you what amp fuse goes where. May be as simple as that always make sure you put the same amp fuse back in very important.

You either have broken wires in the steering wheel clock spring, or the Body Control Module has a fault. You are swapping out items that can be easily tested. Take the speaker from the driver side rear door and put it in the passenger to test it.
