Jumps on rapid acceleration..
Could be fuel related. First thing to check for that would be a fuel pressure test. Even though the pump is working, the proper and specified pressure must be kept in the fuel rail for the injectors to work right.And/or have the computer scanned for any diagnostic trouble codes. Many national parts stores do free diagnostic scans.

Wat models && years would b interchangeable for the computer brain or module of an '06 liberty sport?
it must be same part number
and jeep told you it is not PNP, plug and play
and must be programmed to work.
and 99% off all returned PCM are perfectly good
due to bad inputs, to PCM
or output actuators are bad (injectors and relays etc)
as we said for 50 years, GIGO (even back to relay computers, first ever)
garbage in gets you garbage out , of any computer made.so far.
why not scan the PCM and tell the DTC errors and get help
or omg even tell symptoms of any engine.
Removal of fuel nozzle on tank and removal of vent attachment on tank. 2006 liberty diesel.
how to, ? (you meant filler pipes)?
no problem told just a question fully covered in the service manual
no country told, tank parts are not the same world wide (laws etc)
first tell what's up first.
fails smog tests (station)
leaks diesel fuel?
PCM OBD2 vent errors DTC scanned. scan it yet?
at gas fill up the gas blows back on to face? vents failing.
"the short-lived 2.8 L VM Motori turbo diesel (2005-2006 only)"

How may lbs per square inch are the hood shocks for a 2002 3.7 Jeep Liberty
The hood shocks for a 2002 Jeep Liberty with a 3.7L engine typically have a pressure rating of around 30-35 pounds per square inch (psi). However, it's important to note that the exact pressure specification may vary depending on the specific model, aftermarket parts, or any modifications made to the vehicle.

How do I know if my 2002 Jeep Liberty has jumped time or timing chain/belt broke?
WE INSPECT IT WITH MARK1, EYEBALLS (A MIL JOKE)
SCAN IT YET, SEE CAM, ERRORS. >> USING REAL SCAN TOOL.?
NO ENGINE TOLD 2.4l IS CAM BELT
VIN DIGIT #8 IS ENGINE CODE, NOT TOLD AND IS A PURE ENGINE QUESTION.
OR THE 3.7l LIKE MINE V6, ?
IF A CHAIN GOES BAD IT MAKES HUGE RACKET.
THAT MEANS NEVER RUN it LIKE THAT. EVER.
Both engines are interference, so driving them with bad cam drive
has huge risk of engine damage $3000 + bills, parts./labor
not told at all why? is engine acting odd. or makes nasty sounds.
or CEL lamp; on ? or other cluster errors glowing.
or what? what's up doc?
top evidences is lost power or engine destruction.
huge racket (noise max)
for the belt drive snapped, it makes noise only on destructiong
head valves hit piston, wrecked
why not get it serviced and ask the person live for advice.
ask the tech in a shop.
say check it out.

03 jeep liberty stuck in 4 wheel drive and not shifting out of second part time light will not cut of but will go to lo and high what can it be
If you have true 4-wheel drive as opposed to all-wheel drive and you were driving on a dry surface with four wheel drive engaged, you may have "wound up" torque between the front and rear drive trains. This happens because when turning, rear wheels take a shorter route than the front wheels and this difference has to be compensated for either in the transfer case or by slippery or snow covered roads, or it will bind, and the resulting pressure makes moving the selector very hard. You have probably felt this happening ("bucking") to a lesser extent when making tight turns while in 4WD in the past?
If this is the case, all you have to do is jack up the front end - and preferably get both front tires off the ground. The jeep should NOT be running. If it was "bound up," this will release the pressure and you will probably see the front wheels spin a bit. You should then be able to move the selector back to the two-wheel or all-wheel drive position.
Good luck.
