2005 Mitsubishi Colt Plus 1.6 petrol. The tailgate button is not working. Gives 4 beeps - no action. Is it set to 'manual only' somewhere? Used to work. Fuse OK.

I found this for the Outlander. There is a Disable button.

Electric Tailgate not working?

Sat Sep 20, 2014 10:34 pm This might just save a phev owner some embarrassment. Before you call your dealer to complain that the electric tailgate is broken and just beeps (4 times) when you press the dashboard, keyfob or tailgate buttons: there is a disable button slightly hidden just above the cupholders, next to the slot you put the key fob in. It is shown on page 4-20 in the owner's manual. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1021727/Mitsubishi-Colt.html#manual ..

Mitsubishi colt 1.3 not getting into Programming mode

why not buy a new fob/key and use that. old fobs are no good , all worn out. the glove box users guide tells how to make a new key/fob is this car a IMMO keyed car,? if yes the rules are strict. is the only problems is door lock buttons.???? 14 year old fobs are mostly pure junk now, all worn out. why use it? in fact have 2 of all that. one to use and 1 as backup most cars sold new had 2 keys, lost the spare? what ever you do if IMMO car, do not have one IMMO key have 2 or more, or the costs to sure that are HUGE.

Colt ecu change

The ECU would have to match the part number EXACTLY. You're much better off getting your current ECU rebuilt and programmed by the rebuilder.

I have a 1986 Mitsubishi 1.4 litre 4 cylinder

When you start (IGN-->START) the engine, power is applied to the fuel pump. When you release the key to IGN-->ON, power is supposed to still be applied to the pump. I suspect this is not happening. You'll need to trace the circuit (if you don't have the diagram) to a relay behind the dash. This could be behind the radio or on the passenger side. Could be the IGN switch itself.

My Mitsubishi colt automatic car runs fine but light comes on fault code 1867 I cleared fault but as soon as you switch off engine and back on again the light stays on again

How did you clear the fault? By using a code reader and clearing it or by disconnecting the battery? That only erased the fault from the ECM memory. That fault code is specific to Mitsubishis, so I have no idea what it means. But if the problem that set the code originally has not been corrected, it will set the code (and turn on the light) as soon as you try to use the car again.
