I don't know if this is the right place.
But I have a 98 Pajero 4m40. It starts and idles nicely, but upon acceleration, engine sounds terrible, almost like a non turbo L200 engine, even with the intercooler connected and turbo whistling. Please help.
Question edited for clarity, add maker and 'year make model' first.
Question moved from Spanish car company Seat (pronounced See-at).
Yes, remove the rear seat squab for access. Very good video
No they are crooks! The genuine part from Mitsubishi is $120 and it looks like you could do it yourself.
Where is the transmission fluid pressure sensor?
The pump pressure switch is located on the transmission housing next to the pump. The switch lets the computer know what the pressure is coming from the pump when the engine is running. The servo pressure switch is located on the housing near a band or servo in the transmission.

More information please. Is this a manual or an automatic transmission? What EXACTLY does it do when you try to select a gear? Do you have any warning lights on the dashboard? Have you had the car plugged into an OBD scanner to check for Trouble Codes? These questions will help work out what the problem is.
