2007 Nissan Altima. Oil is leaking into the plate that covers where the transmission and engine meet. What could cause an oil leak in this area please?

There is an oil seal at this area that delivers the rotational power of the engine to the transmission. There is an additive that you can add to your oil that can help to regenerate the oil seals by softening them up. I am guessing the shady mechanic did this rather than replacing it. ..

Nissan Altima. P1574 ASCD speed sensor A.

In a Nissan Altima, code P1574 typically indicates an issue with the ASCD (Automatic Speed Control Device) speed sensor A. This sensor is responsible for detecting the vehicle's speed and providing the necessary information for the ASCD system to function properly. When this code appears, it usually means that there is a problem with the speed sensor itself, the wiring connected to it, or possibly a malfunction in the ASCD control unit. It can lead to issues such as the cruise control not working, the vehicle not maintaining a set speed, or other related problems. To diagnose and fix this issue, you may need to perform the following steps: 1. Check the wiring and connections: Inspect the wiring harness connected to the ASCD speed sensor A for any signs of damage, corrosion, or loose connections. Make sure all connections are secure and free of debris. 2. Test the sensor: The ASCD speed sensor A itself may be faulty and need to be tested. You can use a multimeter to check the sensor's resistance and compare it to the manufacturer's specifications. 3. Check the ASCD control unit: If the sensor and wiring appear to be in good condition, the issue may lie with the ASCD control unit. Testing and potentially replacing this unit might be necessary. 4. Clear the trouble code: Once you've identified and resolved the underlying issue, you can clear the trouble code from the vehicle's system using an OBD-II scanner. This will reset the system and allow you to see if the problem persists. If you are not comfortable performing these steps yourself, it's recommended to consult with a qualified mechanic or dealership with experience in diagnosing and repairing ASCD-related issues in Nissan vehicles. They can provide a more accurate diagnosis and solution to ensure your Nissan Altima's ASCD system operates correctly.

2008 Nissan Altima SL 2.5. Codes P1715 and P0868 on CVT the input pulley speed and trans fluid pressure low. Do I need to replace trans? Should I use salvage yard trans, if so how do I pick good one?

There is a lot of information here. Could you thin it down a bit? Separate the issues into sections like just the Trans and then the electrical problems and so on. Don't assume the worst straight away. This could be something like a bad sensor or low transmission fluid. If the serpentine belt is that worn Replace It. If it snaps the coolant pump and alternator will stop working which is not good. If you are really concerned take it to a good mechanic and let them look at it. Some good repair shops will diagnose for free and you will get a better idea of how serious the issues are.

2011 Nissan Altima has a P0101 emissions code.

Question edited for clarity. Question moved to model category. It's not an emissions code. It regulates air going into the engine for combustion. 'Emissions' is what comes out at the exhaust end after combustion and emitted (emission) into the air we breathe. https://www.justanswer.com/nissan/fbhcg-2011-nissan-altima-2-5-p0101-code-new-maf.html#:~:text=The%20issue%20is%20a%20faulty,that%20has%20the%20needed%20equipment. 2014 Nissan Altima. How to unmute audio for Bluetooth please?

The 2015 Nissan Altima does not have a mute button for the Audio system. To unmute the Audio system You will have to turn the volume knob clockwise. If this does not fix the problems with the Audio in the vehicle You can try and attempt a full reset of the radio in Your car. To do this You will turn the ignition key to the "on" position and turn Your radio on, wait ten seconds and then turn Your radio off. Depress the radio power button again and wait for reset. Alternatively, enter Your dealer provided radio code to reset. You can also check to see if You had a call and if You did not press the "call hang up" button on the steering wheel while not on a call it could mute the radio so press it again to un mute it.

Why my 2002 Altima won't start?

There could be several reasons why your 2002 Altima won't start even though the engine is turning over. Here are some common causes to consider:
  1. Fuel system issues: If the fuel pump, fuel filter, or fuel injectors are not functioning properly, then the engine may not be getting enough fuel to start. You can check the fuel pressure and fuel pump relay to see if they are the issue.
  2. Ignition system problems: If the spark plugs, ignition coil, or ignition module are not working correctly, then the engine may not be getting the spark it needs to start. You can check the spark plugs and ignition coil to see if they need to be replaced.
  3. Battery issues: If the battery is dead or not providing enough power to start the engine, then the engine may not start. Check the battery voltage and connections to make sure they are in good condition.
  4. Starter problems: If the starter motor is not working correctly, then the engine may not start. You can check the starter relay and wiring to see if they are the problem.
  5. Mechanical issues: If there are any problems with the engine's timing, compression, or other mechanical issues, then the engine may not start. This would require a more in-depth diagnosis by a mechanic.
It's best to have a professional mechanic inspect your car to determine the root cause of the problem and make any necessary repairs.
