Change light chimes ignition

You may have disturbed the wiring down by the ignition switch. In any case, the brake pedal switch near that switch is now either misaligned or broken - try fixing that first.

My car dumped all the water that was in it and now try's to overheat slowly is it my water pump or my coolant expansion tank thats the area it dumped at the passenger side or is there nothing majo

Coolant leaks on the path of least resistance, in this case it's the cap to the coolant reservoir. Overheating is caused by a few things: 1. Bad water pump 2. Clogged thermostat 3. Bad fans May want to check a few of these components.

My speedometer works but my digital odometer does not work on my 2003 old alero

This is one guy's advice: Replace the speedo head, that should take care of the problem." This site is also interesting because the guy said General Motors cars had instrument cluster problems from 2003 through 2006. When I researched instrument cluster problems on the Internet what I found raised concerns in me. Many of those vehicles had problems that began with the instrument cluster, but eventually led to the engine refusing to start. (an electronic instrument cluster, digital instrument panel or digital dash for short, is a set of instrumentation, including the speedometer, that is displayed with a digital readout rather than with the traditional analog gauges. Many refer to it simply as a digital speedometer.) http://www.instructables.com/id/Erratic-Instrument-Panel-on-GM-Cars/

I have a 2003 alero with the v-6 what happened was driving down the road the heater works fine. then all of a sudden it was blowing cold air and the temp gauge started climbing. it started blowing how

Sounds like the water pump is cavitating . Replace water pump. Check coolant level also. Open the bleeder valve usually located on thermostat housing to remove air from system. close valve when coolant is present while filling. close radiator cap and top off recovery bottle to correct level. These engines are prone to overheating, do not let temp gauge get in the red.

Is the check engine light on? I'm sure changing the oil had nothing to do with how the vehicle is running now unless they didn't replace the oil drain plug or added enough oil.

2001 alero flashing service engine light

If you're fortunate, it's simply lit to tell you it's time to have any number of services done. Some check engine lights are synced to come on at certain intervals. If it's not that, then it could be one or more of too many problems to even guess at.

Hi, try unhooking your Negative battery terminal and leaving it unhooked for about 5 minutes, then reconnect it. This should clear any fault codes that are stored in the computer. It's very possible that your BCM, ( Body Control Module) is failing. Take your car to a Mechanic that you trust... Hope this helps.
