Opel Zafira 1.6B 2007 idles at 400 revs.
Opel Zafira 1.6B gen2
Petrol not CNG fuel ,right? A.K.A, FAMILY 1 ENGINE.
SINGLE OR TWIN CAM?
a total lack of power , full power(engine) weak. (stick shifted)
400RPM means the PCM can not control idle. AT ALL.
check fuses first.!
scan it next using a real scan tool not some $20 code reader.
there are in fact many causes for this, and newer the IAT intake air temp sensor) EGR stuck open sure. but not now egr is new(main valve)
- a bad engine, even cam belt slipped. never allow this.
- bad spark, 1 or more coils , spark plug bad.
- bad fueling too rich or too lean or bad fuel
so did you drive the car over 100km and not replace the cam belt
if yes oops. that can wreck the engine or bend valves.
sold here and with many 1.6L engine variants
Europe (except for United Kingdom), Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan & South Africa
My Opel Corsa dies down during driving, it will only start again after 7 to 10 mins, l have no clue whats happening.
No idea offhand to be honest i would need my head under the bonnet to know what wrong .could be anything from the gauze filter in the fuel tank on the bottom of the fuel pump becoming chocked up and leaving the car allows it to drop away to a faulty pump overheating or the contacts ,maybe even a ignition module overheating ,Best advice is ask a local mechanic to have a look for you as normally these early opel corsas with the 4 cylinder engine are bullet proof they are even valve free if the timing belt snaps .
Opel corsa swings but no spark and no petrol on injectors, could it be my coded key faulty.
If the engine turns over it is unlikely to be the key. It wouldn't turn at all and you would get a warning light on the dash display.
Get the vehicle plugged into a vehicle diagnostic system or an OBD2 scanner to look for Trouble Codes to see where the problem could be.
If you have to pay for this ask at 3 or 4 different places as the prices can be VERY different.
Opel Corsa Lite won't start 1997, 1.4
First how old is the vehicle, what is the engine size and fuel type? Have you had it plugged into a diagnostic or an OBD2 scanner to check for trouble codes? It's best to go back to basics to figure this out.
When you turn the key what EXACTLY does it do? Dash lights go out then nothing? You hear a 'Click' then nothing? A louder 'Clunk' then nothing?
Does the engine wind but not try to start? Does it try to start but refuse to run or idle?
Nothing at all suggests a battery or a relay issue. Batteries do get old and weak so even with a full charge they can struggle to turn the starter motor. A battery is considered 'old' after about 5 years.
A 'Click' suggests the starter Solenoid has failed. The click is the relay trying to trigger the solenoid. A 'Clunk' is the solenoid working but the starter itself has failed. For both of these you usually need to replace the whole starter motor as the solenoid is a built in part of it.
If it just turns and does not try to start could be a no fuel issue and if it's trying but won't idle it may be a fuel supply problem.
Use the comment button below with more information and any Trouble codes you have and I'll see if I can help you more.
Opel Corsa Lite 1,4 manual 2006, difficult to get into gear when engine running, easy when engine off. When running and in gear the gear lever seems to have movement
Is this a sudden issue or has it been slowly getting worse over time. If the checks below check out OK you might be looking at something more serious so check the simple, cheaper fixes first before you assume the worst. This is a bit long but please read it all the way through as your issue could be one of these cheaper fixes.
How many miles are on your corsa? Higher mileage means bigger parts start to show they are wearing out. The first thing to check is actually the brake fluid reservoir. Both the brakes and the clutch use the same fluid reservoir and a low level can affect the clutch movement. Don't worry the reservoir is built so the two are kept separate and so it won't affect your brakes.
Another simple check you can do yourself is to check the gear shift linkage. The joints on this are lined with plastic and wear out over time giving a sloppy gear change. That age Corsa is known for this issue. Open the bonnet/hood and with the engine OFF get a helper to wiggle the gear stick while you look down on top of the gearbox housing. On the top of the gearbox there should be a multi link T bar setup. This is the linkage. There will be more than one ball joint on this. Twist and pull on each of these to see if they feel loose or floppy. If they are good they will be stiff and need a little bit of effort to move them.
Are there any leaks under the vehicle? Using a torch look under the vehicle, specifically at the gearbox/transmission housing, and look for leaks or damage. Low gearbox oil can also cause difficult shifting.
Does it make a "crunch" or grinding sound as you push into a gear? Does it 'Slip' or 'grab' as you get to the 'bite point' on the clutch? This is often a sign the clutch is worn and may need replacing.
It shifts easily with the engine Off because nothing inside the gearbox is spinning so there is no resistance to the gear shifts.
