Its gotta be one of three possibilities. They are all very easy to check, and I'm betting its number one.
1.There is a switch sort of
sensor right under the
handbrake
(just take off the center console or get a light and look under the handbrake while its extended). I had the same
problem and it went away once I unjammed the switch.
2. a loose ecu connection.
Pull the bottom dash panel on the passenger's side. Be careful, as this
panel is sometimes a pain take off with out breaking a clip or the
panel itself. Here's a pic of the back side of the panel. The yellow
circles indicate the location of the 6 clips that hold it in place:
Then check to make sure that the white ecu harness is firmly inserted into the femal connection and that all your wiring is intact.
Finally pop the hood and check your fuses, its the small black box on the passenger side, make sure you don't have a blown fuse.
