do the rear seats have a recline functin ,slide seat forward , should be handle below the seat, try lowering seat and then slowly raise , this may give a better sitting angle

Have you tried heating the nut area and bolt to see if it brakes loose ? If you have power tools, might help you loosen and tighten the alternator.

yes it can if no out put then no workable components also fuses ,relays.wiring and battery can cause faulty operation have battery and alternator tested most auto stores offer this service for free

You should be able to remove the rear driveshaft and just run around with front wheel drive.

There is a "park" switch in the wiper motor I believe which may be failing.

Have the battery load tested.

White Smoke... 1. Typically normal condensation in the exhaust system converting to steam once engine is running and producing heat creates white smoke. Typically this lasts only a short period of time until condensation water in the exhaust system is gone. 2. If there is a problem, persistent white exhaust could be an indication of a water leak into the cylinders (e.g. cracked head or leaking head gasket. The good news is, this second case will normally will occur with other problems (e.g. consistent rough idle, or rough engine vibration at specific RPMs). If this is suspect, keep an eye on the oil with the dip stick and during next oil change (If any of the oil appears WHITE, there is a problem.). If this is a suspect problem, a test for the DIY'r mechanic would be to remove all the spark plugs, have another person turn the engine over, and watch for water mist to spray out of one or more cylinders. Because you said sometimes, this sounds like normal condition.

Rav 4 is an all wheel drive vehicle not a 4 wheel drive as in jeep or Landrover. When you press the 4 wheel lock it activates a lock dog in the transfer case that means both front and back axles now drive as long as you have traction on at least 1 axle set. There is no means of allowing the front axle to speed up and slow down in relation to the rear axle ( as in going over a speed bump) and you get axle wind up which puts a load on all the drive train . The faster you go the bigger the load and so it kicks out over 25mph as obviously there is no need to have both front and back locked together at speed . It also makes steering harder to turn

What ever is under vehicle at seat is hot,maybe exhaust,get under vehicle and see,might see some heat marks.

With the engine off and cold, open the hood and locate the vehicle's radiator and water pump. Remove the radiator cap.Install a pressure tester on the radiator.
