The pump is cooled and lubricated by the fuel in the tank. The pump is monitored by the ECM (engine computer) for performance and pressure. Remove the back seat and replace the pump the right way, it is a lot easier.

One very common issue with these generations of 5 cylinder engines are the PCV system. If you haven't had the service completed yet, I'm sure it need it.

Looking at the diagram, the violet wires should have 12 volts with the key on- if not, then i would focus on the infotainment relay and the Central Electric Module. If you have 12 volts on violet, check the brown wires for a good ground. Violet/White wires should have a constant 12 volts. If you can borrow someone's fancy scan tool, you could scan the system for codes that may be helpful in figuring out what module is at fault. If all of this checks out, i would go for reflowing solder joints in the Infotainment Control Module first and the audio module next
