Horn will not work.

You either have a bad wire or a loose wire in the wiring harness, Get a volt reader and test the harness for current.

2008 Ford Edge is burning through tail lights?

There are no TSB's for your Edge. Looking at your Year model you may have a Warranty left.
The Voltage should be checked,as should the Amperage of its fuse.

You could look in the Owners manual for the grouping of items sharing the same circuit. It sounds like something is trying to ground through the taillights. The trailer package may have a short, check for corrosion under the trailer harness plug cap.

See what a Dealer will do and then make a NHTSA report if you are the original owner. If you did not know the car when it was new, anyone could have worked on it since. Main thing is to fix it.

Seems the Carrier Bearing is out on my 2008 Ford

that depends upon what coverages were offered at the time of purchase, and if you purchased extended coverage. well worth a call to the dealership. they can tell you about any ford warranty that is still in effect. sometimes dealers can work with customers that have a premature problem. in any event, asking if your covered, or if not, will they give you any help, costs you only a phone call. these are tough times , and even the dealerships are looking foe whatever work they can get.

Just got a ford ka as the ford ka got cental

Hello,

Yes the ford has a central locking system, you can do that with your remote, and can do it when inside the car, the button is by the door which is at the driver side. You will see the central lock button, but central lock wont work if a door is open.

Take care and good luck

I need instructions on how to replace the mirror

This is how the glass shops in my area do it. Clean all the glass out of the mirror carefully. Don't want stitchs. Clean all the old glue off with a knife or razor blade and wash it with window cleaner. Wash the back of the new mirror as well with window cleaner. Put a liberal coat of silicone adhesive on the back of the new mirror and press it into place. Place a small block of wood or plastic on the mirror face and tape it on with black electrical tape. Stretch the tape as you wrap it around, make about 2 complete wraps. Do this on the inside and outside of the new mirror and leave it for 24 hours. Then you simply remove the tape and blocks and nobody will know the difference. Hope this helps. You could also get a auto glass shop to do it. It's not especially expensive. Hope this helps.

Liscense plate fuse location

Welcome to FixYa!

On the link below is the owners manual for the edge page 258 slot # 22.

If it is just the license plate light that is out I would check the bulbs. The reason why is that the license plate light is on the same cerict as the parking lights.
