5.7 votec chev avlanche 2004 . no oil pressure when started, when hit gas petal hard 3 or 4 times ,pressure comes right up. runs great after that
it is not good practice to hit the gas pedal when you have no oil pressure
not only is it wise , you have no idea what is wrong or if in that few seconds , the bearings are running dry
what I am thinking that if this started after you have had a service done , that he oil filter is el cheapo type that does not have an anti drain back valve built into the filter
when it stands the oil drains out of the filter and also drains the oil galleys so that it takes time to fill the filter and the galleys
the filter could be blocked and being bypassed as well
check and replace with a reputable make and check that it has an anti drain back valve

C0281 code
the c0281 code on a gm truck is the abs ECBM has lost the voltage to it when the brake pedal is not depressed. so if you are going at a speed above 10-15MPH and the ECBM looses the 12 volts to it ,when the brake pedal is NOT depressed ,, then this code gets generated. the brake switch has a 12 volt feed to the abs switch contact connector. the other side of this switch goes to the other connector pin. these switches wear out get dirty with time. replacing the switch or if your up to it take the switch apart and clean the contacts with a fine abrasive material to remove the oxidation. if pitted or worn replace the switch. one wire is brown the other is purple. working the brake pedal watching the volts is easy way to see if the voltage is steady when you wiggle the brake pedal.. driving on a rough road with a bad switch usually gets it acting up.

How do I replace ignition switch?
if the vehicle is 12 years old or less it will be replaced under warranty by GM as it is a recall for faulty ignition switches.
other than that there is a good explanation in the workshop manual
