If you have digital gear indicator,,,there is a adjustment under the truck where the cable bolts to the pan,,,lossen the bolts and it will slide back and forth to make the indicator read correctlly,,, if it a older style like pre 97 i believe you remove the kick panel at you knee there is a clip with little cable or string looking line that clips to the steering colum,kinda on the top side,,,slide the clip back off the mont ,,,its spring loaded so hold on to it,,and move it over to make the indicator show correctly,,, its very simple

Unless you are able to trace wiring you won't be able to resolve this yourself. Particularly the remote start can be a multitude of problems, your best bet is to get help from an auto electrician

Vapor lock only happens when the vehicle is hot. Flooding at start up, you smell gas. If it is over fueling threw the carb/throttle, then you will see lots of black smoke out of the tail pipe when running.

You have a problem with the electronic throttle control , one of the throttle position sensors or one of the accelerator pedal position sensors is bad ! You need to have codes checked ! Drive by Wire Function and Diagnostics by Wells

Remove the driveshaft. Then the cooler lines on side. Take all the bolts out of the bellhousing. Take the crossmember loose and drop the tranny.

Usually the pedal adjustment comes from the rear. Maybe need to adjust them out alittle.

That is quite a big load to blow. Better check your coils, and starting system...Needs an analyzer.

Did you replace the distributor cap and rotor as well ? Has the coil been checked for signs of arcing, carbon tracking ?

altenator is not working or youre battery is too old or weak and wont hold a charge anymore

It requires a bit of dexterity. You will be laying down under the drivers side of the dashboard under the steering column. Find the brake pedal and follow the arm upward from the foot pad. Near the top of the arm, along its rear edge, you will find the brake light switch mounted.

The heater control valve is located on the passenger side rear of the engine. It has a vacuum line hose that opens and closes the valve. Remove the vacuum line hose, start the engine with the temperature set to cold and see if there is any vacuum on the line. Then set the temperature to the HOT position and see if there is any vacuum on the line. Vacuum should be present on ONE setting only. If nothing happens check for proper vacuum to the control assembly. The valve is vacuum operated, if no vacuum is present the valve won't work.>

Your vehicle only has up/down adjustment as far as I know. You need a hex head to adjust them. A 7mm will work in a pinch. The adjuster is in the center of the headlight bracket just below the top of the bracket. You will see about a one inch hole with a recessed hex head for each light.

This code is actually talking about the 02 (oxygen sensor) in the exhaust system. Bank 2 sensor 1 is the location. This is the sensor in the exhaust on the passenger side of the engine closest to the engine. Usually in the exhaust manifold.

Since you have it off, it would make perfect sense to change it. If the water pump is leaking or is bad for another reason, thermostats also have a lifespan and, unless replaced within the last couple of years, just change it for preventative maintenance's sake. Depending on what year your truck is, the new pumps have been upgraded to solve some inherent problems. The early pumps on LS series engines had, I believe, a 2-bolt thermostat housing and the later pumps have a 3-bolt housing, so you have to change the thermostat/housing. The thermostat and housing are a combined unit and can't be separated. It seems that the cheapest part is the original AC-Delco. Most auto parts suppliers are smart about this and don't even carry an aftermarket part. The new O.E.M. AC-Delco waterpumps used to come with the stat/housing already bolted to the pump.
