Code shows a large leak
Not sure of your year or model but alot of times a code like that could just be a bad gas cap. That is cheap and easy place to start. You will probably need to have someone turn the light off with a scanner after repalcing the cap. Also depending upon the year and model you have there could be a pressure switch in the top of your fuel module that can fail and cause your code.
I have a 2006 gmc
I would say that you have some bad bulbs. And not all of them are servicable. If you call the parts department at a dealer they could tell you which ones are. I have several of these trucks at work and I know that on ours the heater control unit light are not sevricable. But I have taken the control units apart and have gone down to Radio Shack an purchased bulbs. You will have to unsolder the old ones out of the circuit board and solder in the new ones. We had to replace the headlight switch because the bulb inside of it went out and was not servicable. Not sure about the instrument panel lights. The panels are easy to remove. I have had several out but not to fix lights so not sure if they are servicable. You can send the whole panel off to be serviced. I have had good luck with Instrument Sales and Service.
My heater blow at full
this is a "blend door" issue, you will need to take the dash aprt and see if this is due to a bad vacuum line or if the door itself is broken.
I just had a bully
I recommend you have the person who installed it fix this. It sounds like when the installer spliced into the tach signal wire, and other wires that they may have broken the wires, preventing the instrument cluster from registering the tach, cruise, etc. If all worked fine before you had this system installed, and now you have these problems, the installer of this system should be responsible for repairing it. If you are experienced with electronics and automobile electrical systems, you could easily find and fix these problems with a multi-meter and some electrical tape. You might also want to check your fuses to see if any have blown that might prevent the operation of the glow plugs, engine, or lights. I’m happy to help further over the phone at

You could have a new yoke welded on. Then you would have to have the driveline balanced. It would probably be just as cost effective to purchase a new one.

Need instructions on replacing drivers
1. Place masking tape on the inside edges of the door, on both the inside and outside of the door. 2. Remove the door spring by using a door spring removal tool. Insert the tool into the door spring, turn the knob with a screwdriver to compress the spring, then pull out the tool. 3. Set a 5-gallon bucket under the door. This will help support the weight of the door. 4.Place a nail punch under the hinge pin, and strike it with a hammer. Repeat this until the hinge pin begins to come out of the hinge. 5.Place the end of a flat-head screwdriver under the top of the hinge pin, then strike the screwdriver with the hammer to force the hinge pin out of the hinge. 6. Place the bushing on top of the new door hinge pin, and tap it into place with the hammer. 7. Insert the new hinge pin into the hinge. Tap on the hinge pin with the hammer and nail punch to force the pin into the hinge. 8. Insert the hinge spring back into the door, and release the tension on the spring removal tool. 9. Spray the door hinge with a lubricating spray or apply grease.
I know there are a few directions but it is fairly easy to do. If you have access to an air hammer and a compressor you can use this in place of a manual hammer to make the process a bit easier.
Hope this helps.
I can not locate the
It is usually under the hood in the fuse box. What make, model, and engine size please?
2006 GMC 2500 Sierra, tekonsha
Hello Rod.
There is a accelerometer inside the Tekonsha. When braking motion is sensed within the unit it should apply the brakes.
Try it on the road. Make sure the level is set correctly and adjust the gain according to the weight of the trailer and it's load.
The green light indicates continuity through the brake system magnets.
It should go to red as you say under heavy braking.
These are a nice little unit, my favorite in most circumstances.
Consult the booklet on it for adjustments, they are important for proper setup.
If you need further advise please ask me here in a comment.
Thank you for using FixYA.
