What can I say. You have bashed a delicate piece of electronic equipment, and probably broken it completely. You are going to have to take it to a repaired and get hem to look at it. Check condition of ambient sensor located in front of rad. Also check for green corrosion from sensor connector to next joint connection.

Check the fuse for the sensor heater. Check the wiring harness. If you're getting battery voltage in the connector at the sensor, then the sensor heater is bad.
