Sounds like a spark plug or ignition coil that fits over the spark plug. When were they replaced last? Once removing the spark plug, while you're in there replace the ignition coils too. It sounds like only one coil is acting up but I'd replace them all. Go online and search for the best deals. Approx. $35 each.

Yes it has a fuel pressure regulator.

Sounds like that is a good chance. Most national parts stores can test your starter to make certain that is the problem. You have to pull it off of the vehicle though and carry it in for them to be able to test it.

There's a good chance the engine is burning that much oil. Depending on mileage it could be the PCV valve sticking, the piston rings could be bad or perhaps valve guides are going bad, usually indicated by a puff of blue smoke when it starts after sitting a while. The link may be broken or mechanism got jammed. If is popping up a little bit, link is ok. You have to look under the hood. Mechanism maybe rusted or bend.

Loose battery connection or bad starter.

As most cars they pack stuff in tight. You may have to remove other parts to get it out. May need to remove the cooling fan or even air cleaner box and battery. Not sure what will be your best option but the less you remove the less work. I did a blazer 2 starter and had to seperate the starter and rebuilt the starter in the small area to avoid pulling the exhaust it was that tight and little options.
