if i had new bmw i would let only the bmw dealership change oil and service the car period, bmw is a very expensive car every body cant work on them.let dealership do the oil change they the only ones can reset your oil service light,its not easy to reset if you dont know how. most of the time if you have new vechicle the place where you bought the car will cut you a oil change deal.

you would only experience problems from the diff if there was a substantial increase in torque from the different engine as there would be less than 10% difference in torque ratings , Any noise from the diff would be naturally occurring from wear or oil diff noises indicating bearing problems are a whine on drive or coasting , an growl on deceleration and a harmonic whine or growl when the vehicle is held at steady speed Other than those indications , I would be more inclined to suspect wheel bearings and brake associated noises wheel bearings are normally more pronounced on cornering

Dear Nancy, I am going to do some guessing, and I hope I get it right. I think you mean the passenger seat slides loosely on it's track whenever you shift gears and accelerate, or brake the car. There is a release handle that is supposed to lock the seat position selector in place, and it must be not working properly. I have noticed that on many cars, if a piece of trash, or maybe a coin, gets dropped between the seat and the hump in the middle of the floor, it can lock this mechanism. Have someone take a really good flashlight or light of some kind and examine the track and see if something is blocking the locking mechanism under the seat. God bless your efforts.

I use ATE Super Blue Racing (Blue) and then alternate with ATE Typ 200 (Gold) made by ATE in Germany. It is DOT 4. A 1 liter can with a pressure bleeder can do the 98 M3 (although I always have an extra can around just in case). The advantage of alternating the blue and gold is in the ease of seeing when that brake line has been cleared of the previous color. I start at the furthest point from the master cylinder in this order, pass rear, driver rear, pass front, and then driver front. You can get at TurnerMotor Sport or Bavarian Auto as well as many other places.

Many items can cause it not to start: 1. battery voltage too low, 2. fuel pump not working-blown fuse, old, clogged fuel filter, 3. cam shaft sensor fault, 4. crank shaft sensor fault, 5. starter gone, and 6. on BMW M cars, if the oil level is down 3 quarts

Starting Fluid was used some times on cars with carbureted engines. Never heard of using it on an engine with fuel injection.

For E36, In the black front power distribution box located driver's side near the firewall. Low beam relay is #6 (middle row, 3rd from left) and high beam relay is #7 (middle row, 3rd from right)
