Where is the shift lock release/override button on the FORD EDGE 2010?

If your shift lever selector is loose most likely the shifter tube is cracked and the tab that presses in the shift interlock is not being depressed because the tube is separated or the bushings that hold it in place on the steering column are severely worn or the brackets are broke this happens from trying to get the vehicle out of park without stepping on the brake and forcing the shifter also check your brake lights for functionality if the fuse or bulbs are out you won't be able to get it out of park also the brake light switch at the peddle this what I think your problem is one of these issues and I hope this helps you go to ford parts .comte look up your part if the shifter is wiggling around so you can see it in a picture otherwise advance ,autozone etc.will be cheaper good luck stephen

Which fuse to change for steering wheel lights and gear shifter lights 2010 ford edge

It's not a fuse , the SJB - smart junction box controls these lights ! This is fords body control module . If the Heater / A/C control panel ,hazard switch ,headlamp switch , message center switch all work, it is not a fuse . The gear shifter I would say the bulb is burnt out . The steering wheel lights could be out because of an open in the clock spring . The clock spring is a device inside the steering column under the steering wheel that keeps your horn , cruise control , radio buttons etc... connected electrically . How cars clock spring works

Clunking in the front end of 2010 Edge

You might have your dealer check TSB 10-22-4 It has to do with the Power Transfer Unit, also known as a PTU. This COULD be the issue. As far as something coming apart and causing an accident, that is highly unlikely, but anything is possible. And your concern should be expressed to your dealer. Most, if not all corner shops are not equipped to handle your concern and it should be addressed by a Ford Dealership.

Warning lights stay on

It sounds like the ignition switch is signaling to the dash (in error) upon startup. It may be the switch itself.

My 2010 ford edge has a slight flutter at 30 mph without a check engine light and no codes

If it has a check engine light then there are fault codes, have them checked with a better scanner, the one you used may have the wrong protocol or is defective. You may need a shop or Ford dealer to look into this and read the fault codes.

2010 ford edge...there is a noise in the dash, kind of squeaky. It doesn't matter if the car is in gear or parked. As long as it is running, even with heater/a/c off, the noise is there. Help

I can tell you this its a lose bolt the dash board is moving witch one it is I don't know . You can instead of taking the dash apart try to pin point the spot and wedge like card board in to see if you can make it stop this may even correct the problem .but you drive the vehicle so your the only who knows it would be hard to take it to someone else and expensive and you would be the crazy lady with the squeak .So be proactive and think about how to find it and correct it you know more now then anyone you can take it to .

Changed battery now radio doesn't display song or artists name. How do I fix this?

Once you disconnect the battery everything that is in your memories goes "poof" it will take a little time for all of your stations to come back. If I'm not mistaken you still have to set those manually. Radio is mostly satellite that's why you get song names etc. So drive let the computers collect data and before to long you'll get to see this names come up again. Hope this helps.
