2010 Jeep Patriot went into limp mode. I scanned it and the DTC codes are P1607 P0004 and P0113 What should I check to get it out of limp mode
not ttold is engine dead or just slow MPH limited,
lighting bolt means TBW is hard failed.
all cars do this, driven far enough.
throttle by wire.
one must repair it first. to end limphome tbw.
p1607, means engine temp changed radially 2, starts
or battery low and was overloaded. confusing pCM
P0004 is really p00A i bet and means bank1 cam 1 slow response
P0113-INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH
this last error means IAT was pulled off intake hose
and keyed, on, this never fail, so I say this.
I say your scan tool fails to do JEEPs, and old old tool
not 2008 OBD2 compiant tool>?
the LIGHTING bolt words in the glove box guide said
page 190
this
Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) Light
This light informs you of a problem with the
Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system. If a
problem is detected, the light will come on
while the engine is running. Cycle the ignition
key when the vehicle has completely stopped and the
shift lever is placed in the NEUTRAL position. The light
should turn off. If the light remains lit with the engine
running, your vehicle will usually be drivable; however,
see an authorized dealer for service as soon as possible. If
the light is flashing when the engine is running, imme-
diate service is required and you may experience reduced
performance, an elevated/rough idle or engine stall and
your vehicle may require towing. The light will come on
when the ignition is first turned ON and remain on
