2010 Nissan Rogue - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I have a 2010 nissan rogue cd changer fm fades in and out
FM need a good antenna, buT FM in the country side will be weak
or even dead, FM does not travel far at all ,even only 20 miles
AM we have super power stations that cover most the country.
I bet the RADIO is just fine.
it can be bench tested with a 1 strand of say 4 feet of wire for an antenna.
you posted about only a RADIO not CD and not AM
FM is short ranged, 88 to 108MHz. is that
no town told , but you can call your closest station and ask them there coverage, spec.? 50miles or 10 or? what ever.
or you can go to a 2nd car, test FM see if there is one strong station.
if not there there is none.
on home RADIO we use a roof mounted 30Ft high antenna, FM
and goes way father,.
in car that can not be done, most antenna amps in cars only increase noise.
is this your first car, or first ever FM radio.?
yes antenna's can fail even the ground, (it is 2 wire coax to fail)
the mount can corrode. the cable can be bad.
some have antenna in the wind shield glass, and some one puts in new glass with no antenna there well that fails hard.
FM is mostly a CITY BIG DEAL, no living in the sticks.
also there are tiny FM micro station, and those are weak.
only line get a FM map for you town, just like Cell phones but for FM.
radio. see what is there and its POWER/coverage.

Power outlet on my Nissan rogue is not working how
If the power outlet is not working, you may need to look at these fuses:
• A 15 Amp fuse in the under-dash fuse box - it would be fuse number 18
• A 10 Amp fuse in the under-dash/ relay box, it would be fuse number 3
If these fuses are okay or if your car has different fuses then the ones we mentioend, then take your car to a professional. But first, follow this link to see if all seems in place for your power outlet: http://www.nisuv.com/nicont-42.html

Will the check engine light come on when it is time for an oil change?
Mostly no. The engine check light is for emission-related faults but to be certain I suggest you check your vehicle handbook. Mostly there is a service indicator to warn when oil service and routine maintenance is needed.
I have heard some vehicles have an engine check light that is triggered by a low oil level but only because the engine management puts the engine on a reduced power programme when the oil level is allowed to become low.

Could the drivetrain get damaged from driving on a spare?
probably find that the spare is loose on the wheel studs or flat
Spare tires are just that spare--- and should be the same as the other tires and pumped up
If the spare is a "skinny" spare , it's purpose is to get you to a tire shop to have the flat repaired or replaced
Legally it is not an every day driver tire
But --NO --it will not damage the drive train.

How to fix horn not working
push on the horn pad. you should hear a click sounds. if you do then the circuit from the fuse to the horn pad and out to the horn relay is good. next check the horn itself with a test light. with someone pushing on the horn pad the test light should light up with it connected. make sure you have a good ground connection with the test light. if the it lights up replace the horn it is bad.

My horn quit working. How do i fix it?
Start by checking the fuse as it is the easiest place to start. If fuse good, you need to check for power and ground directly at the horn itself. Some horns are not very accessable and are hard to find / get at. There are a variety of possibilites that can cause a horn to not work.....
fuse
relay
horn unit
horn pad
clock spring
wiring
body control module
It may be necessary to have a shop look at it due to the complexity of todays electronics

How do i turn abs light off
When the ABS light is on all the time it is alerting you to the fact that a failure has occurred in the system, you must now get the systems control module scanned for fault codes, when the problem is repaired the light will turn itself off.

My dealer is claiming that
The condensor IS at the very front of the car, If you can look into the front area of the car, ( Grill or lower Grill and see the condensor) there is the POSSIBILITY that somthing could get through and dammage the condensor. I woould look myself and ask the dealer to SHOW YOU!
