Check fuse or relay.

Disconnect battery while car is running. If car dies altenator is bad. With car not running check battery with volt meter. Should read 12 to 12.46 without engine running. Start car and check battery with volt meter, should read 13 to 13.50. If less than 12 with engine running then altenator is no good.

Had the same problem. Checked the spark plugs... Found #2 loose. Had obvious signs of gasoline getting by it. Re-tourqed all plugs and smell went away. Took 10 minutes. I'm sure it would have cost a fortune for dealer to find and fix this.

take it back let them know car still not fix, that is only option or take it to another dealership.

need to diagnose the BCM for codes ,too. the car with a lock signal indicates a security system fault. that would explain the dying after 3 seconds because the ecm has turned the fuel injectors off.

Before you replace the water pump, take a look at the thermostat. In fact, just for a test, take it out. and run without one. The worst thing that will happen is the engine will run a little cool and use more fuel in the first few miles as a result, but if this happens, you can be fairly certain you have a faulty thermostat. It may even be that when you expose the thermostat you see some debris restricting the water flow.

Water pumps usually need replacing because they leak, rather than because they are not pumping water. I would consider that as a very last resort

follow your top radiator hose to engine block ,at the other end of the hose is a small housing ,the thermostat is inside the housing ,its two screws holding it down

P0705 means Transmission Range (TR) Switch Circuit TCM (transmision control module). Most likely you will have to replace the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Engine Control Module (ECM), but however you can replace this yourself but you have to take the vehicle back to the dealership so that they can program it correctly.

There is not much information to go on. You didn't say what your vehicle is, what engine it has. Judging by what you wrote, the dealer got a fault code for the glow plug, but didn't change the plug. Instead, they want to put in a new wiring harness, even thoughthey got continuity. I think you need to take your vehicle someplace else and have a qualified mechanic look at it. At least, put in new glow plugs to see if that helps.
