What size engine ? 4.3 , 4.8 , 5.3 , 6.0 , 6.2 , 7.0 L You have a code P0xxx ? If your vehicle has Camshaft Actuator System it doesn't have a EGR valve !

Remove the pop in bezel. Look at the front of the stereo and see if it has two small holes on each side. If so you will need a stereo release tool to slide it out for the mount bracket.

In the exhaust pipes between the engine and muffler.

Why? DIY ? you need a repair manual, your auto parts store may have one, your library many, filepeep.com may have, or
try manualslib.com
You will need it again if youi want to DIY. Any way, follow the Exhaust piping back to the area usually under the passenger seat, and or driver's seat if there is a dual exhaust. It is in front of the Ehaust muffler. It will have an oxygen sensor in the front with a sensor wire going to the firewall and then to the ECU (brain). Thre may also be the same arrangement on the end of the converter.

If none of the headlights burn I would suspect the switch . Can you test for power and ground to the sockets ? I would rather eliminate all fuses and wiring, connection issues first .

  1. To adjust the push rod length, first remove the master cylinder from the power booster.
  2. Using a pair of pliers, turn the push rod adjusting not in to shorten and out to lengthen the push rod.
  3. If the push rod is nonadjustable, use shims between the master cylinder and power booster to shorten it.

Make sure that the positive battery cables are clean and tight. Sometimes one cable will have power which will give you lights and the other no power to start and run the engine.
