There may have been a thin gasket between the bell housing and the gear box and this will need to be replaced . If you cannot get or make this gasket then I would use Loctite ultra blue gasket sealant to do the job. Spread around all the holes thinly as when you couple up the parts again it will squeeze out to a sealing film

Check cables,. SOund like you have a wire shortage, Somethng is drainin down battery. Have battery checked.

0325 knock sensor
0344 cam position sensor intermittent
0340 cam position sensor failure

I would replace the cam position sensor from the codes you provided. The knock sensor
would most likely be related to the sensor failure.

Have the fault codes read first.

There are adjusting screws on boxes that will take out excessive play in the steering. However if it still follows the road contours dips etc I suspect that the alignment has not been done to specs as incorrect t castor and camber will affect the handling. Also the problem may not be in the front but in worn suspension bushes and rear alignment
