1977 Ford Capri - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Ford carburetor
You will need to do a lot more than carbie work to get more than a limited power increase. For example, you can shove as much fuel and air into the engine as you like, but if the exhaust doesn't allow the lot to get out, you achieve nothing.

Carburetta
Be sure you have run a quality carburetor cleaner through your fuel system...also fresh plugs, spark plug wires, and replace ALL air filters and clean passages...this is the least costly performance enhancement...Hope this helps.

Engine hard to start when cold
There is a routine called a "cold start routine" which is triggered by water temperature sensors or oxygen sensors.. The routine changes the fuel mix and the timing for a few minutes until the sensors warm. Then everything changes back to a lean run condition. Most likely the computer is not getting the reset signal.
Radio locked
Look in your owners manual to see if there is a code in there for unlocking the radio and instructions for unlocking procedures. If the code is not in there, I would suggest going to a Ford dealer and tell him what happened and they can provide you the unlock code and/or help you get the radio unlocked. And when it has happened to me in the past, there was no charge.Good luck
Engine Number BBCLU75755
engine number has no relation to date of manufacture. you will have to talk to a dealer to find out when the engine was assembled
My traction control lights on in my 2007 Ford Freestyle 3.0 and I want to know if there's a vacuum that hooks up to that where it's at
This could be two different issues. For the dash light get the vehicle plugged into an OBD scanner or a diagnostic system to check for Trouble Codes. These will give clues as to what and where the issue could be. Comment below with them and I'l try to help explain them.
Unless the problem is with the brake booster most traction control systems do not use a vacuum to operate it. It is usually a set of electronic sensors on the wheels that the ECU uses to monitor tyre grip.
As I cannot look at the car myself for that hose you will need to get a good mechanic to look at it. The vacuum hose could go to many things like the EGR system, the Turbo (if fitted) or possibly to the transmission.

Ford ranger BT50 2008 2.5 DIESEL IMOBILIZER
This will sound a bit silly and obvious but have you tried a new battery in the transponder key? Sometimes the fix is that easy.
Have you had the vehicle plugged into an OBD scanner or a diagnostic system? Dashboard codes are commonly a bit vague about what the issue is. A Code 24 simply comes up as 'an Immobiliser issue' and thats all you get. The OBD scan will also tell you if there are any other issues with any of the other sensors on the engine.
Comment below with any trouble codes you get and I'll try to help you more.
