2011 Ford Edge was purchased
I had the same problem after 5 months of purchasing a 2011 Edge. The Oil Engine Pressure light comes on and stays on after driving 10 minutes and stopping for gas- it turns off shortly after I start driving again. I had a 2007 Edge as well and never had this problem. I just took the 2011 Edge back to the dealer. They could not duplicate the problem and instead reset all computer settings. The next day the same Oil Engine Pressure light came back on. Anyone out there with any suggestions?
Electric seat will not move
Either power is not getting to the motor, the motor is bad or something is blocking the track. If you can use a voltmeter to check the voltage on the motor's wires when you move the switch to move one way or the other and it is 12 V then the problem is in the motor or track. Once you know just post a followup I will try to help you on the next step.
I hope this helps.

I have a 2008 Ford
Yes he can fix this most likely. If you are positive it's the speed sensor, simply replace it - however it could very well be the throttle position sensor as well. Take the vehicle back to whomever did the diagnostics test and inquire about this part as a possibility as well. Also, I suggest purchasing a repair manual for this vehicle so that he has the specific directions for doing this himself. Sensors are generally very simple to replace, however there may be more involved as he may need to remove other vital parts to access it. Also, make sure to disconnect the battery anytime you are doing ANY type of repairs; especially electrical repairs (i.e. sensors, etc).

This vehicle has 2 speed sensors, one is the Input speed sensor the other is the Output speed sensor they are located on the outside of the transmission case, it is roughly round and has a 3 wire connector (red, black and white wires) on a short sub harness going to it, it is held in by one bolt and then just pulls out . Below is a picture of the 2 sensors. To rest the fault light all you need to do is disconnect the Battery Negative (-) cable for 5 minutes.
The 1st picture is the Output speed sensor.
The 2nd picture is the Input speed sensor.
Why is my 2008 Ford
A couple of things to try,
1) Change the air filter if its not been done recently.
2) Try a cleaning agent which you put in the fuel tank such as Redex.
3) If you do a lot of short runs, give it a good long run going a fast as is legal to get the
engine up to a good running temperature for a while.

Try disconnecting the positive battery cable, then turn on the headlight switch to drain the system of any stray voltage. Wait 10-15 minutes, then turn the headlight switch off and reconnect the positve battery cable. Start the engine and drive the truck normally for 20-30 miles so the computer can relearn the engine's operating parameters.
If that fails to cure the problem, check for leaking vacuum lines or loose wiring connections.
Another possibility is an inoperative or leaking EGR valve. I would have the computer scanned for trouble codes, before replacing the EGR as they can be a bit expensive.
What is the recommended torque
flepper2009, If your car has 19mm lugs on the wheels then the recommended torque is 100 ft/lbs. If they any other size then I don't know because it will vary between vehicles. Sorry if this doesn't give you a difinitive answer. Good luck with this.
