the valve train has nothing to do with the adjustment of the valves , , the ticking sounds like something may be hitting somewhere , when you rev the engine does the ticking go faster or what you have to be more specific on this problem ,

Did the sound disapear on the way home? It may be a slightly loose exhaust bracket becomeing tighter when warm as things expand with heat. Or is it only heard on rough roads?

When you change out the compressor, the receiver dryer needs to be replaced as a matter of prevention. The condenser is fine as well as the evaporator but the orifice tube should come out because the whole system should be flushed. That is why overhauls on AC systems are so expensive.

Last year for a fuel filter on a Pilot was before 2002.The only filter used now is a small sock before the pump inside the gas tank.

sounds like maybe the built up leaves and stuff might have made the blower overheat and fail prematurely.

Hi there:If the gas cap wasn't on properly then the change in pressure would set off a sensor. Put the cap on right or replace it and if the check engine goes away after a few days that was your problem.You replaced the cap and it will take quite a few driving cycles for the light to go off if that was the culprit. I would check the connector itself. It may not be making a good contact. I would aso make sure that power does get to the lightbull connector.

If the battery is over 5 years old replace it.
