2007 Mini Cooper R56 Questions & Answers
Keep loosing clock have to re set each time I get in also parking assist stopped
Sounds like it may be a bad fuse.. try checking the fuse box, either the one under the hod, or the one somewhere on the drivers or passenger side dash. there should be a map to which fuses are for what purpose. it may say park assist, or could be marked something about radio, or clock. If not a fuse, it may be a faulty wire somewhere.
How do you replace the coolant temp sensor on a R56 cooper
This coolant temp sensor is located at the top right rear of the engine. If you are standing in the front with hood open it will be to your right at rear of the engine.Depending on if the car is supercharged or not the sensor is in the same area, the only thing between the two is if its super charged you will need to remove the air inlet and turbo hoses to gain room to get to sensor. This is easy to replace, just unplug the connector and then using a socket remove the sensor. Note: this should be done with a cold engine , and a pan will be needed under the car to caught coolant that will flow out. Keep radiator cap on to limit the amount of coolant that runs out when sensor is removed. have new sensor ready to install as quick as you can to avoid lots of coolant loss. When done, fill coolant as needed. good day.
Swapped seats but heat not working - f56 mini cooper s
Are the connectors actually wired the same? Check the wiring diagrams for each seat if you can find them, otherwise trace the wiring from the internal components in the seat to the connector and make sure the heaters are going to heater power pins in the original harness, and temperature sensors are going to temperature sensor pins (temperature sensors may be polarized, that is, it makes a difference which pin goes to positive and which to ground).
Why does the yellow engine light come on and go off with times? I am driving a Mini Cooper S, 2010 Model
To be sure you need to hook up a scanner and read the code when you see the light on. It's not unusual for Mini's to do this for a couple of usual reasons. One is due to the Oxygen sensor getting a short term reading that is out of the norm causing the light to come on. Various things can cause this including Injectors, mechanical condition, o-rings, even fuel changes from one station to another can trigger this on cars. It goes off later because it's a temporary issue and the car adjusts itself after so many starts. One other reason is the fuel cap not being tightened properly, that usually is fixed when you refuel and retighten the cap properly or just tighten the cap.
2003 Mini Cooper S Electrical issues
Check all fuses. Inspect all the wiring you can see. If a mouse chewed them up, maybe it could cause this?If that doesn't fix it, sounds like you have a defect in the circuit board in the Instrument panel display.
