Try getting some additives to clean your lifters...i think they are called lifter free..a nulon product ..change oil and filter and then try it or get new lifters installed and adjusted.Blocked lifters will make a sound like that and it's pretty common with mitshubishi. Also check if your idler bearings are ok.

Mit Outlander 2003....replaced the head

P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction\

Based on the codes you listed I would have to say it appears the Crank Position sensor is either malfunctioning or you accidentally caught the wires between two parts that were bolted together and they shorted out. Double check the Crank Position sensor wiring and make sure you have them connected correctly and don't have a short on any of the wires.

I have Mitsubishi outlander 2003

Your problem is probably something pretty basic (like an oxygen sensor). If you go to the local auto store they will usually plug into your car with a code reader and tell you what you need to replace . At that time they can also turn off the service engine check light (if something is wrong chances are it will come right back on). Auto stores will diagnose your car for free to get you to buy the repair parts to fix your car from them. So go to your go to the auto store and let the car tell you what it needs and show your patronage by getting your parts there.

Hi,
This is a interference engine and you probably have engine damage.

What i do in a situation like this, is i replace the timing belt and do a compression test, i have been lucky on more than one account .

Other wise be prepared for bent valves and dented piston heads

Kind regards Indy .

I needed a 5 groove

Good Evening, that is a relatively good question which not many people would think to ask. What that will do over time, rather quickly than not is wear the last rib off of the belt wearing it out a little faster starting on the area the rib was run off of. Other than that it will simply ride in the 4 ribs on the replaced pulley and the 4 ribs of the other pulleys. Hope this shed some light for you and helped.

I have a Mitsubushi Outland

it sounds like the AC/heater temperature control blend door has malfunctioned, the AC/Heater control in the dash can be tested for fault codes when the light blinks, this will give direction to the problem, the dealer has to do this test, the blend door that changes air temp is the most common cause of this problem, other faults are a leak in the AC system and u are low on charge, go out under the hood and see if the AC compressor on the engine is engaging, or if it kicks on and off quickly which indicates a leak and then the cause is a low charge of refrigerant.
