2001 Opel Corsa 1.4 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Fan does not want to kick in
its probably the temperature sensor in the radiator faulty and not giving the signal to your fan, have to replace it
Where is the heat sensor located
Hi , your engine has two sensors relating to coolant temprature , one is the ECT located just under the coil pack and it sends your temp signal to the ECU , the other is the sensor that sends the temp reading to the dash , and it is located just above the alternator on the intake manifold . hope this helps a bit.

My opel corsa1999 model 1.6 cant rev up
Maybe the exhaust is plugged or the timing belt jumped a notch. To test the exhaust, unscrew the upstream O2 sensor. It should rev better if the exhaust is clogged. If no difference, then maybe the throttle position sensor isn't working. I guess the first thing you should do is plug in an OBDII tester to see if there is any codes. (not sure on european models) Possibly bad gas or diesel in the tank?
Overheating
Have a coolant pressure test to find the leak. probably a burst hose or split bottom radiator tank
Timing marks on engine
Use the timing marks on the damper for the crank and bring it to 0 on the cam there are marks that correspond with a mark on the head. Look on autozone dot com and put in the year make and model then look at the free repair guides.
