How to remove inner cv joint on a 1988 opel kadette

a round c clip holds the joint in the box. Use a pry bar or short crow bar with flat end wedge it between the joint and gearbox casing to pry it out. Or if the cv joint casing has a ridge on it rest the pry bar securely against it and hammer the pry bar to pop it out.

The starter rotates but the engine doesn`t start?

Check 3 basic things: 1 Do you have spark on the plugs 2 Do you have fuel coming to the carburetor or injector 3 Do you have compression. The easiest way to check for spark is to use an old spark plug, take a wire from one of the plugs on the engine, put it on the old plug, place the plug on a metal part of the engine or body and crank the engine. There should be a healthy blue spark over the points. If you don't have an old plug, take one out of the engine and do the procedure. Check for fuel by removing the delivery pipe and place it in a container (empty food can, bottle etc. then turn on the ignition for a very short while, fuel should pour out of the delivery pipe. If the car does not have an electric pump, crank the engine for just two or three turns. Check for compression by removing a spark plug, have someone crank the engine while you try to close the plug hole with a finger. The compression should press your finger out of the hole, or get a compression gauge.

Wiring manual

If you remove the plus cable and connect a multimeter on the 10 or 20 amp, in series, you can check if the car is using anything. If it is not using anything, your battery should be replaced. If you measure a current, you could think of a radio, amplifier or other accessories you added to the car. If you have the meter connected, you could remove the fuses one by one, to see when it stops and you only have to look what is connected on that one cable. Success
