Temporature gauge low then drops to zero. water level ok! not overheating.
Once the engine is "hot" ( after you have driven it about 20 miles), feel the radiator and the top radiator hose. Both should be hot or really warm. Please be careful not to burn you hand or fingers. If they are not hot, then you have either no thermostat, or you have a thermostat that is stuck in the open position. If they are really hot, you have either a screw-in-the-block temperature sensor or a dash gauge that is defective. (Could also be a bad wire between those two.).God bless your efforts.
Anti pollution fault flashing up on dashboard
The computer has detected a problem with the emission system on the vehicle. Start by checking your gas cap is on and tight. Have a look under the hood for any disconnected hoses especially around the air filter assembly. The vehicle may have to be scanned to properly diagnose an emission fault
Why is there an anti-pollution fault on first start followed by management light on?
It's not unusual for 207s to show the anti-pollution warning randomly. In my experience it isn't significant and you just learn to live with it, but as yours is consistently showing at start up accompanied with the engine management light, it maybe something more serious. If the car appears to be driving okay, then I would be inclined to ignore it, if not, you will have to have a Puegeot dealer put it on their computer diagnostic machine - pricey !
207s have a bad reputation for random fault indications as a whole (Google it), some of which seem to be ambient temperature related - my father's 207 randomly shows the air bag light on very hot days but this goes away after a few start/stop cycles and a drop in temperatures. Fortunately, his MOT is due in March so when it goes for an MOT the light is always off - air bag fault indication showing is now an MOT failure.
Some people wouldn't be happy driving with an air bag indication, or any other fault indication, showing even for a short period of time, so this is a personal decision as to what you do about it.
