My petrol cap wont unlock
Dear Trudi,I am so sorry to say the locking gas caps for sale where I live ( Florida) are ALL no good these days.I have locking caps on 5 cars that I maintain, and 3 times in the last year this has happened to me also. I have had to return the caps to the store for replacement. The only way I know to get them off is to drive a screwdriver into the key hole and unscrew it, or squeeze the whole thing with huge pliers, or some other barbaric fix.Be really careful not to let any pieces fall into the gas tank, so cutting it with a saw would probably be a bad idea.Be Blessed.
Problem changing gears when hot. ok when cold!
It will be best to get someone to check the hydraulics of the clutch. That is a common issue.
Get a workshop to drain the gearbox oil and flush the system. A tell tale may come from the drained oil if the tranny is near end of life.

Where is the immobilizer location on a 2006 range Rover sport
The immobilizer stays active until you actually try to start. To start (and turn the immobilizer off) the key needs to be in the ignition, the code in the fob read by the security system and the ignition switched to start - this is when the immobilzer LED goes off.
If the car was unlocked and had the correct key the car would still not start unless the key was attached to the correct fob.
I have a 2004 range rover 4.4 that only has 3rd gear, its doesn't overdrive. After 15 minutes of driving, when it heats up, the atf leaks. What could be causing this problem?
There could be several potential issues causing the problem you described with your 2004 Range Rover. Here are a few possibilities:
- Transmission fluid leak: It sounds like your vehicle is leaking transmission fluid, which could be caused by a number of things, such as a damaged seal or gasket, a crack in the transmission case, or even just a loose fitting.
- Transmission filter clogged: The transmission filter is responsible for keeping contaminants out of the transmission fluid, and if it becomes clogged, it can cause problems with the transmission.
- Failed transmission control module: The transmission control module (TCM) is the computer that controls the transmission, and if it fails, it can cause issues like the ones you are experiencing.
- Failed transmission solenoid: The transmission solenoids control the flow of transmission fluid to the various gears, and if one or more of them fails, it can cause the transmission to behave erratically or not shift properly.
It is difficult to diagnose the specific issue without further information and a thorough inspection of the vehicle. I recommend having a mechanic diagnose the problem to determine the cause and recommend the appropriate repair.
Hi My Range Rover has gone into lock down and I don't know how to reverse this
"Lock Down"? I'm assuming you mean the vehicle's engine has gone into a safety setting and limiting the vehicle's power? A "Limp Home Mode". Firstly you will need to find out why it has done this. Are there any warning lights on the dash board? You will need to get the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic system or an OBD2 scanner to check for Trouble Codes. These codes will give clues as to what the problem is.
If you need to pay for this service ask at 4 or 5 garages as prices can be VERY different.
Once the repair has been done you will need to get the vehicle plugged into a professional Diagnostic System to have the vehicle electronics reset. This will turn off any warning lights and turn off the "Limp Home Mode".
Comment below with the Trouble Codes and I'll see if I can help you more.
