Check for power on the Red/Yellow wire on the back side of the bulb socket and check for ground on the black wire. If you don't have power on the Red/Yellow wire with the driving lights turned on, you could simply splice it into the red/yellow wire on either of the back taillight wiring harnesses as they all go to the same place anyway. If your black wire is not going to ground, you could make a new ground for it on anything metal in the back of the car, simply scrape or sand down to bare metal, crimp a ring terminal on the wire, and run a self-tapping screw through the ring terminal to the body. Also, check the connectors in the bulb socket, they may be damaged ore corroded

Hi, Please double check that the sensor was installed properly. If the icon was visible prior to the change, then you might want to redo the installation with a mobile mechanic to make sure the sensor is placed properly. Thank you.

NO COUNTRY TOLD we are a www open world forum so posting lacking the key fact will make answers wrong. all cars here, are in the tank ,that year. by USA<EPA.gov laws .Gasoline, post a problem ,get tests to do and not take a bath in fuel. learn this first, if the PCM detects spark bad it cuts fuel !!! both gas (petrol) diesel engines sold new with car , lots so learn post this first. (ignore spark answer for diesel)

1. engine there, gas/diesel and displacement? sized
2. country
3. year 2008 check.
4. check all fuses.
5. make sure spark works on all 4? cylinder gas engine
6. scan the PCM.
7. if not chain cam, some are some not. belted cam needs service.
8. bad spark plugs and or COP boots,or COIL PACK HV wire sets.
9. fuel is last. never first. ever.

one some diesels there can be 2 pumps,. one in tank called a lift pump. then a main pump outside the tank buy the service manual your car, year, model and country or get wrong answer on car like this vast engines used world wide wiki swift and see why.

If you have spark and compression, then you must have no/poor quality fuel.

If it is the correct OEM part, calibrate it.

check the coil the low side of it may have blown . get a spark plug tester to check it.

lost it? or just stipped out it is metric for sure 8mm or 10 or 12. all I do is measure it but not if lost USA car? all dealers ended new cars sales here and only 2 parts sales stores here. so parts are hard to get but not bolts. a shop finding this and lost uses spare bolts in a abox metric to find a tread match. then with the KNOWN length next. the main long bottom hinge bolt.? lost is super rare to lose.

check fuses the OD lamp fails of the transmission fails and some suzuki cars do not allow OD in 4wd, , is this car 4wd featured. the OD may flash too for transmission errors. you must scan the PCM (tcm inside) to see the reason why. but put transfer case in to 2wd. the operators guide covers this, for sure if 4wd car and chapter named the same.

Could be any of the above mentioned. Take a look with your meter or just a test lamp and find out.

ok I have it. Had many VIT's (4 in fact once) before they bugged out of USA, a great car 4wd in snow, even deep. 2.7L V6 (H27)/? you skipped step one in the ALTERNATOR swap 1: disconnect battery NEG LUG first. or bow the 100amp + ALT fuse. called FUSE F1 under hood main fuse box. thaT MAKES THE ALT 100 % DEAD. XL7 CAR IS VERY different for normal Vitara's for sure. the ALT has internal voltage REG so that is good news. see it here. the real schematic, XL7 (02) click me. https://imgur.com/a/SkXBbfm ALL THE LAMP CHARGE MUST GLOW KEY ON OR LAMP IS BAD OR f1 BLOWN, BOOM. some brands of ALT use the charge lamp as bootstrap, self excitation path. (keep the lamp good and all is happy) F1 is blown, BOOM ! doing it wrong.

engine runs?, and D , low or Reverse are all dead.?????? PRNDL 2096 is wrong, bet 2006 ,am-I-right? is the transmission Manual or automatic yes they sold both. if manual box the clutch is bad, slips or not adjusted correctly. shifter lever to transmission cables snapped/

If the battery was bad, that could be what has been killing your alternator. I would make sure all connections are clean and tight, positive cables and grounds.
