How to remove alternator on 2010 suzuki jimny
which enigne? we can never guess that. (rare)
1: pull neg lug of battery terms.
2: get the belt slack. (RTM, read the FSM ) read fac. sev. man.
3; loosen all alt pivot bolts. and tilt alt. of belt is not off yet.
4: remove all bolts. on alt and wires. (plug, unplugged)
the alt just fell out.
above is generic. as no engine stated.
O1 Suzuki jimny not charging,changed battery and alternator,fuses checked still no joy.

My guess is the charge lamp on, what does not charging mean.
- charge lamp on,?
- battery volts, not 13.3 to 15vdc running, idle 800?rpm?
- is charge lamp glowing key on, if fix that now. not running, it must glow or some ALTS will not boot up, called cold excitation current, that some NEED. fix the lamp.
- wiring bad. to alt. or alt casing not grounded.
- or car stalls.?
- or battery goes dead when you sleep or long day at work>?
- try to say what NO CHARGE MEANS? why do you say it.?
- on new USA cars, some the ECU runs the ALT, so, and 2001 is common here, but I cant look for you can I. (no books on JIMNY)
- what engine,, there are many, 658 cc K6A I3 (JB23)

- the engines run there own Alternators, very different.
Side lights at back dill just ever so slightly when the indicator is on
could be a short in circuit somewhere because Daytime running lights don't have to be separate lights - some car manufacturers combine them with the front position lamps (side lights) in which case the daytime running lights will dim when the headlights are turned on.
If daytime running lights are located very close to indicator lights then the DRL on the appropriate side of the vehicle must turn off while the indicator is operating to avoid masking its signal.
What is the emission control system on a suzuki jimny? my emission control light came on and the jeep wont start..how could this be solved?

forget that lamp CEL?, it glows telling you , PCM has power and as a self test on lamp on all cars.
but the IMMO lamp? that be #1 to see... if fitted. as some are.
what matters only is this.. see how far you can get.?
won't start means nothing unless you say it cranks and don;t start.
starter motor sounds ok, not silent.?
see, we can hear this or guess. and is KEY to the reasons.
all you can do is test fuse.
see if cluster immoblizer light is glowing funny or flashing wrong.
dont crank ,? clean battery lugs, and then charge battery
jumper cable crank it.
cranks ok, check for spark.
if dont know how get tow to shop that does.

the solenoid can be for many functions,
the old cars has 1 , called the TCC.
clutch lock up,
the ECU sends (or TCM) sends 12vdc to it near 45mph to lockup the main clutch (TC) the solenoid opens, and main line pressure passes through this valve to the Solenoid lock it self, the lock engages and TCC locks up.
later years, they shift all gears this way with 3 or more solenoids.
get the FSM and read the Tranny chapter.
