Toyota caldina . when car started both battery and a/t oil temp warning lights stay on

This is indicative of an alternator problem. However, it always pays to do some simple checks first. You should check your alternator plug-in connector and battery feed wire (connected via a ring terminal) for tightness, cororsion etc and general wiring around the battery for the same. Check the ALT-S 5A fuse and 100A fuselink in the fusebox (under the bonne/hood).If all this looks OK, I'd suspect the voltage regulator unit in the alternator. If it's a high mileage unit (>200K km) it could also simply be the alternator brushes worn down. Both the brushes and voltage regulator are fairy easy DIY repairs.

Caldina starts fine, drives fine but when i come to a stop it dies

if the engine dies at a stop or when you have the foot on the brakes, it will be a brake booster problem. If the engine dies at idle with just the hand brake on the problem may be electronic Use the correct method to scan the fault codes as all disconnecting the battery is likely to do is energize the immobiliser and then it will not start at all

WHERE ARE THE SPARK PLUGS

Caldina GT-T spark plugs are centrally located in the head, in deep wells in the cam cover. As the GT-T does not have a distributor, you won't see spark plug wires. The intercooler needs to be removed and the four COP (coil-on-plug) assemblies tagged and unpluged. Unbolt and remove the COP assemblies and then use a long extension with the correctly sized spark plug socket to remove the plugs. Keep the COP assemblies in order to replace in the same positions as removed.

Oil consumption for gtt

Oil consumption for any vehicle can depend on a number of factors including engine construction, mileage, type of driving so it's a bit difficult to place an exact figure on it. In the case of the 3SGTE in the Caldina GTT consumption seems to be average/normal, which equates to a drop of about 1/4~1/3 the distance between full and empty on the dipstick every 5,000km (3,000mi). And that's been my average for all 3SGTE's I've had. If you have a high mileage (>200,000Km/120,000mi) unit, or drive enthusiastically your consumption may increase, but at that age brittle seals are more likely to be responsible for increased oil loss.

Rpm and km meter do not work

check fuse first. (as always) what is the odometer doing. caldina? non here. my wild guess, no FSM on that. is: 1: the VSS is dead. the questions is where is the VSS , vehical speed sensor. on most cars that depends on engine options and transmission options. i think? the VSS tells the PCM speed, and the PC drives KM meter and odometer. and RPM is PCM input of Crank sensors so id say fuse, but the odometer questions is more revealing
