Rings are wearing out. Use a 40wt oil or more to stop leakage until u get a rebuild

petrol or diesel if diesel check the glo-plugs for operation (most probable) have the injectors cleaned and adjusted check for air in the fuel system and bleed out check operation of stop/start solenoid

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Search for it VERY CAREFULLY by spraying a shot of carb cleaner here and there. When it revs up or smooths out, you'll have located the leak. Keep a fire extinguisher handy when doing this, and don't spray into electrical parts like the alternator or distributor!

white exhaust smoke indicates usually unburn fuel, it can be either, problem with gunky injectors, wrong timing or problem with valves, non-sealing pistons or glaze on the cylinders I am usually recommending in cases like that use of any decarboniser add to the fuel (removes glaze from cylinder and help therefore seal), and then use some injector cleaner. in your case - you were using too high gear and hence the glazing on the cylinder - if you did not have these problem before. for future references, I would suggest towing in that condition on all four drive, and forget about fifth gear... add injector cleaner first, and at next re-fuel add decarboniser. hope this will help you at least a bit - do not forget to vote...
