I assume the AC was turned on, and I assume you mean the cabin ventilation fan. If these remain unavailable often, it probably has something to do with either fuses or the control panel and nothing to do with the engine or motor. Is there a check engine light - if so get the code read. If not then assume the dash board control panel might have a wiring issue.

Interesting. Personally, I would remove the hot side of the battery and leave it off for about 30 minutes and then reconnect it. It sounds like something has corrupted. This will reboot your system. KEYLESS REMOTE PROGRAMMING 1- Driver's door open & unlocked. that is normal for spedo to stop at 299999. I dont know why toyota did this but i read on there site that they made the spedo not go over that amount. maybe they did the same thing to check engine light. I dont know on that though.

you have two coolant systems on a hybrid. both systems should of had the coolant changed (due @100k). Spark plugs should of been changed (due @120k). those re the two high mileage maintence items I would be sure were done. Toyota dealer can change the beep to a single beep instead of a constant beeping.

Remove fender well trim ( a few screws) Remove front bumper COVER (not the bumper- the plastic cover) About 14 screws. Mostly on the underside, get a creeper, and a few on the top. Remove the (left or right side) Headlight assembly ( a couple more screws). One assembly contains the headlight, turn signal and running light. Unplug the electrical connector from the assembly. All bulbs remove from the back of the headlight assembly. Headlight is held in place by bail wire, smaller bulbs are 1/4 turn.

Check the brake fluid level. If low, you can top it off from a sealed / tightly covered can of brake fluid only. The low level of fluid also indicates that the pads are wearing and should be inspected to determine if they should be replaced soon. A squealing or scraping sound while driving or braking indicates that one or more sets of pads have worn too low and have begun scraping (and damaging) rotors. Needing to replace rotors can easily double (or more) the cost of a brake job.
