The automatic sliding passenger door on my 2005 Toyota Sienna won't open. If you push the open button inside the car or on the fob you can hear the motor try to open but the door doesn't budge and the motor stops after a second. If you pull the handle on the inside or outside it doesn't open the door--it behaves just like it is locked. The lock slider inside the car shows the red sticker that indicates the door is unlocked, and if you try to slide it over to the locked position you can force it over but it comes right back to unlocked when you let go. It's like the locking mechanism is broken and the door is mechanically locked but electrically unlocked or something. Help?!
Have 2005 Sienna and its Driver side door was not openning. Cheap dealer fixed it himself in front of me. After opening the doors plastic assembly while sitting inside with a screw driver. Then he bent the clip towards left where the metal wire is connected. If you guys want to see what he did i would record a video and upload for you guys. Let me know at [email protected]

power steering res full no leaks belt tight but feels as if pump possibly running at 50%. very hard to turn in parking and slow moving situations
Most likely the problem is the lower steering knuckle. This is the one outside of the firewall, under the vehicle and it hooks up to the power steering assist cylinder. In my opinion the knuckle has to work at an unreasonably steep angle and this compounds the problem. The knuckle (especially in salt areas starts to corrode and becomes hard to turn. Toyota says the water gets into the bearing and they beings to rust the bearing and turning the whell starts to feel stiff. I have this problem and I sprayed liberal amounts of a rust inhibitor that a local place uses to rust proof cars (They sell small spray bottles of it for $5). They are called OIL TECH in Barrie, Ontario and make up their own formula. The formula has addatives that breaks the surface tension on the oil treatment and gets it into the tiny cracks and crevices on your vehicle. I sprayed this all over the knuckle, turned it back and forth a couple of times and continued spraying. I let it sit for an hour and went for a test drive -- problem solved. You could actually see the rust on the exposed parts of the knuckle. I probably will have to do this once every month of two but what the heck. It is a lot cheaper than having to replace the steering shaft ($1000+???) Probably other types of rust proofing or lubricating oils will work. I long for the old days of grease fittings and you never had to replace ball joints and tie rod ends etc.

I replaced the tail light on my 2005 Sienna and now when you hit the brakes none of the light work and the car will not go into gear, Im assuming its a sensor somewhere that is not registering the brakes being pressed.
some times on these the brain tells there was a fault now you have changed the bulb the brain still thinks the fault is still there you can disconect the battery for 10 mins then put the battery back on and hopfully the brain should have reset hope this helps

I am replacing the rack and pinion. For the life of me I can't separate the intermediate shaft assembly from the rack and pinion. Of course I removed the bolt, and have tried whacking it with various tools but there is very little room to work, so I definitely haven't given it my best shot. I'm afraid of breaking the shaft, plus I can't pull down on the R&P, can only hit up on the connection. Anyone have any suggestions?
After removing the pinch bolt and nut it is usually necessary to tap in a small chisel or large screwdriver to open up the slot sufficient for removal. Sometimes burrs hold components together and sometimes there is a corrosion bond so a squirt of penetrating oil is a good idea too.

Sorry, there isn't a clock fuse. It is very low voltage and amperage. It is powered by another computer. The clock just died.
