Try to move the steering wheel some and twist the key. Also try to push the key in and twist it. I had an issue where the steering wheel locking would mess up and it took some patience to get it out.

The steering is locked as the key is removed so it is clear quite a lot happens as the key is being removed. The inside of the steering lock is fairly complex and it would seem one of two things is happening or not happening; either the mechanism that releases the pawl that locks the steering is jammed or something has broken inside the lock preventing the steering lock being turned fully anti-clockwise into the position where the key can be withdrawn. In either case it is likely the only cure is the replacement of the lock assembly, lock barrel and key. Removing the steering column shroud and tapping the lock body while working the key could temporarily release it but it is unlikely.

A 2012 would totally be under full warranty. Why would you want to replace when in all likelihood it's covered? And GM wouldn't fix what you should have gotten fixed by them?

You obviously have an issue and it is a 2012. GM's warranty will cover it all - including the tow if you did - because it is a 5 year bumper to bumper. Since it is probably not in the drive warranty, but electrical, should be no problem. Hold them to it as you might have a lemon alternator etc. A 2 year old alternator etc should never give out!

you have to unplug the suspect injector. If the fuel stops running freelyreplace injector. Defective. go online to view a normal spray pattern.
