Go to the NTSB web site with your VIN number it should show you any recalls your vehicle may qualify for.
Shift lock button
This is replaceable but you should be able to put a screw driver into the broken off part and still push the engagement button for some ghetto shifting.
Location of code P2430
Po2430 is the code for the secondary air injector system air flow pressure sensor circuit on bank one. The sensor will be in the front of the engine down at the bottom. You can goggle po2430 and the diagram will help you to see where it is just put In the year and model of the vehicle and the code.

DTC P2430 : Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System Pressure Sensor Circuit
Circuit/System Description
The secondary air injection (AIR) system aids in the reduction of hydrocarbon emissions during a cold start. The system forces fresh filtered air into the exhaust stream in order to accelerate the catalyst operation. An electric air pump, the secondary AIR injection pump, provides filtered air on demand to the AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly. The AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly controls the flow of air from the AIR pump to the exhaust manifold. The AIR solenoid relay supplies the current needed to operate the AIR control solenoid valve/pressure sensor assembly. A pressure sensor is used to monitor the air flow from the AIR pump. The engine control module (ECM) supplies the internal pressure sensor with a 5-volt reference, an electrical ground, and a signal circuit.
Won't stay running
Crank positions sensor might be broke due to collision. Sensor is on the front of the engine at the crank cover. It is what tells the coil pack as to what cylinder to fire in, since the newer engines start on any cylinder instead of only No. 1.
Car won't stay running
I can't say for sure on your Cobalt, but many GM cars will exhibit your car's symptoms when the negative battery cable isn't secured tightly enough to provide a solid ground. Carefully check the cable connections by attempting to move the cable back and forth where it mounts to the battery, car chassis, or anywhere continuity could be interrupted.
Chevy cobalt wont start has the security ligh on and check airbag lights. struggles to starts then dies
The security, antitheft, or passlock light is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterperates this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link may help you find ways to bypass this or fix it yourself.
