My 2007 gmc just stopped running one day so i replaced the starter and im stillvhaving the same problem. it wont even turn over

Hi, Try moving the shift lever in and out of gear and back to Park then try it. Have you tried starting the truck with the shifter in Neutral? If it turns over and starts, I would check the Neutral Safety Start Switch and it's connection down under on the side of the transmission? If you are experiencing lights and dashboard indicators coming on when inserting the key in the ignition but zero response from the solenoid on the starter or the starter turning over when turning the key switch to the start position, I would definitely check the Neutral Safety Start Switch. This switch is the one that allows you to start the vehicle by making sure you are in Park or Neutral. It's in a location on the side of the transmission where salt, sand and corrosive road debris can get trapped that eats away at wires and connections.

Why is my truck not working?

Year make and model are essential information. But it could be a fusible link if it's an older vehicle. Near the battery there should be wires that have a big molded rubber part inline on the wire. See if you can take a test light and poke through the insulation on the far side of the wire and see if there is one where the light does not light up. They sell them at auto parts stores. If it is a newer vehicle it could be a bad main power relay, or a bad body computer. And that's nearly impossible for me to help with online

2007 Sierra, Loss of Brake fluid with no visible leaks.

if you have a hydraulic clutch ( no transmission offered) check the slave cylinder for leaks ( some cars use the brake master cylinder as a reservoir for the hydraulic clutch) check the brake booster to master cylinder mounting for leaks or the rear seal of the master cylinder may be faulty allowing fluid to pass to the booster chamber check for a leak under pressure at the rear flexible rubber hose from the body on

Rear doors will not unlock

Door Lock System Components The power door lock system consists of the following components: ?€¢ The driver door switch (DDS)

?€¢ The passenger door switch (PDS)

?€¢ The body control module (BCM)

?€¢ The driver information center (DIC)

?€¢ The rear door lock/unlock relay (LBEC)

?€¢ The door lock actuators in each of the doors The rear passenger doors are controlled by the BCM through the rear door lock/unlock relay which is incorporated onto the printed circuit board in the LH BEC. The BCM controls the unlock relay by providing ground to energize the coil and controls the lock relay by providing battery voltage to energize the relay coil. The energized the relay and allows voltage to be applied to either the door lock motor lock or unlock circuits. Since the other side of the door lock actuator is connected to the normally closed contacts of the opposing relay to ground, the doors lock or unlock. Do you know what the BCM is , body control module ! If you do not know about this stuff I strongly suggest you to it to a ASE certified repair facility ! Save yourself some money an aggravation !

2007 gmc 1500 4wd not working. service light on and lights on switches are off. truck in 4 low

Sounds as if the transfer case control module has gone bad and grounded the circuit to the 4 low actuator. The module is located behind the headlight switch in the dash. You could try tapping the actuator on the transfer case lightly with a hammer to see if it releases.

Battery good but when key is turned it want say anytging

Hi, Here's another source of troubleshooting information: http://www.silveradosierra.com/electrical/2003-silverado-wont-crank-t18318.html Cut and paste that into your web browser, if clicking on the link doesn't get you there. This gentleman located his problem by confirming the Start Relay in the Fuse Box under the hood was working (clicking, this confirms the PCM is good also) when he turned the ignition key to start his truck. He observed slight sparking and arcing between the Starter Solenoid and the Starter connections and determined them to be corroded and the source of the trouble, resulting in the intermittent starting conditions happening. Once again, Good Luck.
