2007 Yukon Denali XL autoride suspension light comes on intermittently

Would need to know what DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are stored in the module for the autoride suspension . Hooking up a professional type scan tool ,looking at input data to the module etc... Looking at a wiring diagram an testing electrical circuit's using a DMM - digital multi-meter . Reading how the system works ,what all involved in making the system work . This is how a professional Tech would go about diagnosing this . The automatic level control (ALC) system maintains a desired rear suspension position under all types of towing, hauling and loading conditions. The following components are involved in the operation of the ALC system: • Air line tubing--Pressurized air from the ALC compressor is pumped to each of the rear shocks via air line tubing. • Air drier--Pressurized air from the compressor is run through a drier containing a moisture absorbing chemical preventing water accumulation in the rear shocks. • Compressor--Supplies pressurized air to the rear shocks • Compressor motor relay--The relay supplies battery positive voltage to the ALC compressor motor. • Pressure sensor--The electronic suspension control module (ESCM) module provides a 5-volt reference and low reference to the ALC pressure sensor. The module receives the signal voltage that is relative to the air pressure applied to the rear shocks. • ESCM--Controls the ALC system and electronic suspension control (ESC) system and detects failures in both. The module monitors inputs from the position sensors, and pressure sensor to determine when to raise and lower the vehicle to trim height as the vehicle is loaded or unloaded. The module limits pump activation to 255 seconds to prevent thermal damage. • Exhaust valve--An electric solenoid activated by the ESCM to vent air pressure from the rear shocks. • Left and right rear suspension position sensors--The module provides a 5-volt reference and low reference to all 4 of the body-to-wheel suspension position sensors. The sensors send the ESCM a signal voltage that is relative to the rear suspension ride height • Left and right rear shock absorbers with internal air chambers and dampers--Dampens the rear suspension and maintains trim height depending on the air pressure applied.

I have a 2007 yukon denali xl, I got my front brakes and right wheel hub changed. When he got doney brake lights in the back of the truck wI'll not shut off. Brake light switch did nothing to help..

Who put the front brakes an wheel hub bearing on the vehicle ? A qualified repair shop ? A friend ? The front brakes an wheel hub would have nothing to do with the brake lights . An the brake light switch is an input to the BCM - body control module . Stop Lamps When the driver presses the brake pedal, the switch contacts open and battery positive voltage is interrupted to the BCM. The BCM then supplies voltage to both the turn/stop lamp supply voltage circuit and trailer rear turn/stop lamp supply voltage circuits. The BCM also supplies voltage to the CHMSL though a dedicated circuit. I suggest you take it back to who did the front brakes , or a quailfied repair shop . DTC B3445 00: Stop Lamp Circuit - DO you know what a DTC is ? diagnostic trouble code ! Diagnostic Fault Information Circuit Short to Ground Open/High Resistance Short to Voltage Signal Performance Stop Lamp Supply Voltage B3445 00 -- Stop Lamps Inoperative Stop Lamps Always On Circuit/System Testing Disconnect the stop lamps and test the individual stop lamp assemblies for internal shorts between all terminals. ? If a short between terminals is found, replace the stop lamp socket or circuit board as applicable. Test the stop lamp supply voltage circuit for a short to ground. ? If all circuits/connections test normal, replace the BCM.

I have a 2007 gmc Yukon denali with the 6.2l in the last month it has randomly puffed a bit of smoke on start up what might be wrong only 120k on it

Hi Bryce, For the miles and engine in your vehicle, a bit of visible smoke from the tailpipe on cold start is normal. It indicates a small amount of engine oil is leaking past the "valve-guide seals" in the cylinder head. For now, I wouldn't let it concern you too much because it's actually a VERY small amount of oil making its way into the combustion chamber while you're snoozing. It only takes a drop or three to produce a huge amount of visible smoke when it burns, and it probably won't even leave deposits on your spark plugs at this point. This condition isn't harming anything except your nerves, and it won't cause a breakdown or leave you stranded. The oil lost (per mile) is too small to result in the need to check the dipstick more often, but you should get a sense of the loss-rate by periodic checks over a given number of miles. Top off your oil, and check it every two or three fill-ups, and, my guess is, you won't have to add a quart before driving 1000-1500 miles, which is nothing to worry over, but determine how many miles it takes to use a quart, so you know when to add. If you want to narrow it down, pop the plugs out and check for any light colored deposits, and note the particular cylinder from which a contaminated plug was removed. You'll probably see little, if any, deposits for now. Oh, and there are NO magic snake-oil remedies, despite fancy promises on the labels of opportunistic, quick-fix makers. Don't fall for their distractions. The best you can do is to keep up on your oil maintenance. Running dirty oil causes accelerated seal wear. Happy Motoring!!!

Where is the Body Control Module located?

I'm just curious if your aware of the BCM function's on your vehicle an if you know what the gate way module is ? An do you know about serial data communication between modules ? An do you know what the power mode master is ? And do you know the BCM needs programming ? The body control module (BCM) in this vehicle functions as a gateway or translator. The purpose of the gateway is to translate serial data messages between the GMLAN high speed buss and the GMLAN low speed buss for communication between the various modules. The gateway will interact with each network according to that network's transmission protocol. One example of this necessary communication is the communication between the engine control module (ECM)/powertrain control module (PCM) which is high speed serial data and Theft Deterrent Module which is low speed serial data. If these modules can not exchange information, the vehicle will not start. Communication between the BCM and a scan tool can be on the high speed GMLAN network or low speed GMLAN network. If one network is lost, the BCM can still communicate with the scan tool. A lost communication DTC typically is set in modules other than the module with a communication failure.

2007 Yukon Xl Denali can the headlight switch/dimmer cause only the tail lights to not work. Dash lights, signals, brake lights when pressed work. Both sides went out. No blown fuse or broken wires.

If front park lights are working highly unlikely headlight switch is the issue. Is the vehicle equipped with a trailer towing package and wiring to the rear? I would start there. This vehicle may also have a taillight module located under the vehicle on the passenger rear attached in the wheel well area that goes bad

I have a 07 denalixl my camera just stopped working one day it dont switch to camera at all just stays on radio car was never hit or working on recently can someone tell me if its a relay or something

Hi you might want to check if your back up lights and your back up sensors are working, this can be a sign of the transmission control module not working properly. There is a controller that tells the radio to switch to camera view. Let me know what you find out.
